Dealer Team
The Dealer team is a dynamic team of sales professionals with a history of growing sales profitably and building meaningful long-term customer relationships. The Dealer teams work directly with our independent dealer network, which is a diverse network of passionate and dedicated business owners. The Dealer team is primarily focused on selling and supporting all our dealer facing brands, including Graber, Horizons, SunSetter and Power Shades. Supported by a dedicated marketing team and the industry’s best inside sales and customer service, the Marketing Communications Manager position represents an exciting opportunity to take this business to the next level.
Mission
The Marketing Communications Manager will drive clear, consistent, and impactful messaging that strengthens dealer engagement and supports sales growth. This role oversees all internal and external communications for the dealer business unit, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, enhancing brand presence, and fostering collaboration across stakeholders.
Objectives & Outcomes
- Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and execute communication strategies and messages aligned with business objectives and dealer sales goals.
- Internal Communications: Create messaging that informs, engages, and motivates internal teams, ensuring alignment and clarity across the organization.
- External Communications: Manage dealer-facing communications, including announcements, campaigns, and updates that drive engagement and sales performance. Maintain distribution lists, allowing for targeted communication.
- Brand and Messaging Consistency: Collaborate with Brand Managers to ensure all communications reflect brand standards and reinforce the dealer business unit’s value proposition.
- Content Development: Oversee creation of high-quality content for multiple channels (email, web, social, presentations, events), both for internal and external audiences.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, corporate communications, brand managers, product management and leadership teams to deliver timely, relevant, and impactful messaging.
- Measurement and Optimization: Track communication effectiveness and continuously refine strategies for maximum impact.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in marketing, communications or business.
- 8+ years of professional communications experience is required.
- Experience selling or marketing consumer products to individual business owners is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Human Relations: Should be outgoing and pleasant as well as persistent, yet tactful. Should be a good listener and able to convey concern, interest, and thoughtfulness. Must be proactive and responsive.
- Analytical: Should be a fact-based decision maker and have a good analytical, problem-solving approach.
- Strategic: Must be able to think strategically about the business and both short- and long-term objectives; must be able to create strong talking points, messaging and campaigns that tie back to business objectives as well as product features and benefits.
- Communication: Must be able to present to others in an articulate and concise manner as well as communicate clearly in writing. Must have strong Power Point skills. Must have the ability to translate product specifics, like features, into meaningful and compelling talking points for sales team and dealers.
- Influential: Must have the ability to present and influence others utilizing data (sales data, consumer insights, etc.) as well as customer insights to help gain alignment around strategic goals and initiatives.
