INTRODUCTION
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Environmental and Manufacturing Systems team. You will be responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and execution to streamline, analyze, and drive decisions. This means creating intuitive experiences for extremely complex and nuanced data sets, collaborating with internal clients and engineering - and heavily leveraging AI tools and Frontier LLMs - to bring a early stage product to a larger market.
We work cross-functionally and you will partner daily with our engineers (AI and traditional software), designers, environmental experts, Apple system owners, and stakeholders to build impactful software products, specifically unlocking new product experiences. We believe in going deep on user research and data analysis to decide where we should go next with our products, we believe in delivering iterative features quickly and continuously improving our products and processes, and we are a strong design and product-led organization. We love talking to and working with our users every day to enable them to do their best work.
We want someone that has experience taking an idea from the whiteboard to production and then scale it. You are going to get to do that again here.

- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably building complex tools and systems
- 8+ years experience working with software product teams, either in a product role, or design or engineering

- Demonstrated ability to craft and effectively communicate a product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and the ability to inspire the product team to execute upon these artifacts
- Demonstrated use of user research, usability studies, analytics and data to drive business decisions and prioritize, as well as the ability to distill this work quickly into impactful decisions that move the team and product forward
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with software engineers and designers, engage in thoughtful and respectful debate, and prioritize among competing needs
- Experience with complex business processes, auditable data management, consumer product design, and environmental mechanical design & engineering is not required - but you must have an interest in learning about these areas and becoming deeply familiar with this domain
Preferred Qualifications
- Craft and set the product vision & strategy
- Create use cases and user stories and communicate them effectively to both design and software engineering
- Build and prioritize an ambitious but iterative roadmap that balances user needs with business and stakeholder priorities, as well as team needs

Align your background to Apple's hardware-software integration
Apple PM roles almost always require experience bridging hardware constraints with software experience. Before applying, reframe your resume around cross-functional work that connects physical product decisions to digital ecosystems, not just feature roadmaps.
Target roles tied to specific Apple product lines
Apple organizes its PM hiring around discrete product lines like iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch, and silicon. Applying to a role anchored to a specific product increases your chances of reaching a hiring team actively staffing, rather than a general pipeline.
Confirm your visa category before accepting an offer
Apple sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT depending on your nationality and current status. Before signing, confirm in writing which category your offer covers and whether Apple will file before your current authorization expires.
Use OPT strategically if you're on F-1 status
If you're on F-1 OPT, the STEM OPT extension gives you up to 36 months of work authorization. Apple regularly sponsors H-1B transitions from OPT, so starting in a PM role during OPT with a clear H-1B filing plan in place is a viable path.
Prepare for Apple's PM interview structure early
Apple's PM process typically spans six or more rounds including product critique, metrics, and cross-functional leadership scenarios. Visa-dependent candidates should compress their prep timeline because offer timelines at Apple can run longer than the H-1B cap registration window in April.
Search Apple PM openings filtered by sponsorship on Migrate Mate
Apple posts PM roles across multiple business units simultaneously and positions close quickly. Use Migrate Mate to find and filter Apple Product Manager openings that align with your visa category before your authorization window closes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for Product Managers?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for Product Manager roles. The process typically involves Apple filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, followed by an H-1B petition with USCIS. If you're entering through the annual cap, the registration window opens in March, and Apple's immigration team manages the filing on your behalf after the offer is accepted.
How do I apply for Product Manager jobs at Apple?
Apple PM roles are posted on Apple's careers site and rotate frequently across hardware, services, and platform teams. The application process includes an initial recruiter screen, followed by multiple rounds covering product sense, analytical thinking, and leadership. Candidates who need visa sponsorship should flag their status early so Apple's team can assess the right visa category and timeline before extending a formal offer.
Which visa types does Apple sponsor for Product Manager roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa (for Chilean and Singaporean nationals), E-3 visa (for Australian citizens), TN visa (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT and CPT, and employment-based Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and current status. Your recruiter and Apple's immigration counsel will confirm which path applies to your situation during the offer process.
What qualifications does Apple expect for sponsored Product Manager positions?
Apple PM roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a technical field, though many senior roles expect an MBA or equivalent experience. More importantly, Apple looks for candidates who understand hardware-software integration and can lead cross-functional teams across engineering, design, and operations. For H-1B purposes, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation, which Apple's standard PM job descriptions are structured to support.
How do I find Apple Product Manager roles that match my visa type?
Migrate Mate lets you filter Product Manager openings at Apple by visa type, so you can identify roles where your specific category is supported before you apply. This is particularly useful if you're on E-3, TN, or approaching the end of your OPT period and need to move quickly. Starting your search filtered by sponsorship type saves time and reduces the risk of entering a process Apple can't complete for your situation.
