Frame your fintech leadership credentials early
Brex hires Engineering Managers who can lead teams building payment systems and financial compliance tooling. Before applying, document projects involving regulated data, transaction infrastructure, or risk systems so your resume speaks directly to their domain.
Target teams aligned with core product pillars
Brex organizes engineering around spend management, banking, and developer products. Identifying which pillar matches your background lets you craft targeted applications rather than a generic submission that gets lost in a broad search.
Understand how TN status applies to your situation
Canadian and Mexican nationals in engineering management roles may qualify for TN status, which has no lottery and can be obtained at the border or port of entry. Confirm your specific occupation maps to a TN-eligible category before relying on this path.
Browse verified Engineering Manager openings on Migrate Mate
Confirm which Brex Engineering Manager roles are actively open and sponsor visas before investing time in your application. Migrate Mate filters jobs by visa type and role so you target positions that match your sponsorship eligibility from the start.

Find Engineering Manager at Brex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Brex sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Managers?
Yes, Brex sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Manager roles. The company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions for engineering leadership positions across its fintech and financial infrastructure teams. If you are applying for a cap-subject H-1B, timing your offer around the USCIS April lottery window matters, since cap-exempt filings are not available through a private employer like Brex.
Which visa types are commonly used for Engineering Manager roles at Brex?
Brex supports H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for engineering roles. H-1B is the most common path for long-term employment. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or management categories. F-1 OPT or CPT holders can start in those statuses while the company initiates H-1B sponsorship.
How do I apply for Engineering Manager jobs at Brex?
Browse open Engineering Manager positions through Brex's careers page or use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Brex roles that offer visa sponsorship. Tailor your application to highlight experience leading distributed engineering teams in regulated or financial services environments, since Brex's products operate in banking and payments infrastructure where domain familiarity carries weight in hiring decisions.
What qualifications does Brex expect for Engineering Manager candidates?
Brex typically looks for Engineering Managers with a background in software engineering and direct experience managing teams building large-scale, high-availability systems. Familiarity with fintech domains such as payment processing, spend management, or financial compliance is a practical advantage. Most roles expect prior management experience, not just a track record as an individual contributor, along with strong cross-functional communication skills.
How do I time my application to avoid visa status gaps?
If you are transitioning from another employer, your H-1B transfer can begin on the day Brex files the petition, giving you portability under USCIS rules without waiting for approval. For F-1 OPT holders, confirm your OPT expiration date before starting the process since USCIS requires the H-1B cap lottery registration to fall within the correct filing window. Plan for at least three to four months of processing time for standard filings.
