Marketing at Brex
Marketing tells the story of Brex to the world. From acquisition to activation, we translate product value into business results. Our team spans Revenue, Product, and Brand Marketing, and works closely with nearly every function at Brex. We move fast, experiment often, and think deeply about customer behavior. If you want your creativity to drive growth and shape perception, this is the place.
What You’ll Do
Brex’s buyers find and evaluate us across a growing set of surfaces: Google, AI answer engines, Reddit, G2, YouTube. No single person owns visibility across all of them today. You will. As Director of Organic Growth & Discoverability, you’ll own everything between paid acquisition and brand that drives a buyer from first discovery to qualified lead. You set the strategy, build the team, decide how we work with agencies, and carry the number. You report to the Head of Growth Marketing. This is what we expect in the first 12–18 months:
- Grow qualified organic traffic and improve conversion from organic visitors to activated users and pipeline.
- Move Brex’s share of voice in AI-generated answers for corporate cards, expense management, and business banking. Stand up the tracking to know if you’re winning.
- Recover and surpass keyword positions lost to competitors in recent algorithm shifts.
- Stand up a content production engine that ships work that ranks, without every piece needing a senior review.
- Cut the vendor stack down. Make what’s left accountable and tell us what should move in-house.
- Hire and develop the team. You'll inherit some of it, grow it from there, and set the editorial, technical, and AI-native bar for the work.
Where you’ll work
This role will be based in our Seattle office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Wednesday and Thursday. Starting February 2, 2026, we will require three days per week in office - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!
Responsibilities
- Set the organic growth strategy and own the roadmap, OKRs, and budget. You’re accountable for how Brex shows up organically.
- Build Brex’s AEO/GEO playbook. Own how Brex shows up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overviews: citation strategy, content structured for model retrieval, and the tracking to tell us what’s moving.
- Co-own the technical SEO roadmap with web engineering: site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema, crawl, page performance. Translate SEO needs into specs engineers can ship.
- Run content strategy and production for organic. Set the editorial bar, own the calendar, and build a production process that doesn’t bottleneck on you.
- Unify our presence across Reddit, G2, YouTube, and other community and review surfaces into one discoverability strategy instead of a collection of side projects.
- Get sales and partnerships up to speed on how organic and AI search are changing, and what that means when they’re in a competitive deal.
- Be a culture carrier for the Growth Marketing team. Model the AI-native, high-ownership way of working we're building toward.
Requirements
- Experience: 8+ years in SEO, organic growth, or digital marketing, with at least 3 years leading a team and owning strategy and budget at a B2B SaaS, fintech, or technology company.
- Pipeline orientation: You connect organic channels to pipeline, revenue, and business outcomes, not just traffic and rankings. You think in SQLs, activation rates, and CAC efficiency.
- Technical SEO depth: You can read crawl logs, diagnose Core Web Vitals issues, direct schema implementations, and partner credibly with engineers on site architecture decisions.
- AI visibility fluency: You’ve actively experimented with citation strategies, structured content for model consumption, or measured share of voice in answer engines. We can’t train this on the job.
- Content instincts: You can tell the difference between content that earns trust and content that fills a page. You have experience building or managing content operations at scale with high editorial standards.
- Vendor management judgment: You’ve managed agencies and know how to hold them to outcomes, not just deliverables. You also know when to stop outsourcing and bring work in-house.
- Comfort with ambiguity: You make consequential decisions with incomplete data. You like building a function from scratch more than running one that’s already humming.
- Experimentation mindset: You treat failure as a feedback loop. You run experiments, kill what doesn’t work quickly, and double down on what does.
Bonus points
- You’ve navigated a major Google algorithm update that materially impacted your business and can walk through how you diagnosed, adapted, and recovered.
- You understand how retrieval-augmented generation systems select and rank sources, and you can translate that into actionable content and structural strategy.
- You use AI and automation tools in your own workflows. You’re a practitioner, not just a strategist.
- Experience in a regulated or compliance-sensitive industry.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $220,000 - $276,000. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package. Brex LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Capital One, N.A.
Please be aware, job-seekers may be at risk of targeting by malicious actors looking for personal data. Brex recruiters will only reach out via LinkedIn or email with a brex.com domain. Any outreach claiming to be from Brex via other sources should be ignored.

Frame fintech experience in your resume
Brex's Growth team operates in regulated financial services, so highlight any experience with payment products, SMB acquisition, or B2B SaaS growth. Generalist marketing credentials won't stand out the way fintech-specific work does.
Target roles that map to specialty occupations
H-1B eligibility hinges on the role qualifying as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Growth Strategy, Marketing Analytics, and Demand Generation roles at Brex are stronger fits than broad 'Growth Associate' titles.
Search verified Growth openings on Migrate Mate
Find Growth roles at Brex filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces jobs from employers with confirmed sponsorship histories. Focusing your applications on verified sponsors saves time and improves your chances of reaching an offer stage that leads to filing.
Get your LCA timeline right before accepting an offer
Before Brex can file your H-1B petition, the DOL must certify a Labor Condition Application confirming your role meets prevailing wage standards. This typically takes one to seven business days but must be completed before USCIS receives the petition, so factor it into your start date negotiation.

Find Growth at Brex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Brex sponsor H-1B visas for Growth roles?
Yes, Brex sponsors H-1B visas for Growth positions. The role needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which generally means it requires a relevant bachelor's degree in a specific field. Growth Strategy, Marketing Analytics, and Demand Generation roles at Brex tend to meet that threshold more consistently than generalist growth titles.
How do I apply for Growth jobs at Brex?
Applications go through Brex's careers page, where Growth roles are listed under Marketing or Revenue functions. Before applying, confirm the listing doesn't restrict sponsorship eligibility. Migrate Mate lets you browse Brex's open Growth roles filtered by visa type, so you can focus on positions where sponsorship is actively available rather than sorting through listings manually.
Which visa types are commonly used for Growth roles at Brex?
H-1B is the most common long-term work visa for Growth professionals at Brex. F-1 OPT and CPT are entry points for recent graduates, with STEM OPT extensions available for qualifying degrees. TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles fall under eligible NAFTA/USMCA categories. Brex also supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways for longer-tenured employees.
What qualifications does Brex expect for Growth roles?
Brex's Growth team typically looks for experience in B2B or fintech growth, with a track record in demand generation, lifecycle marketing, or revenue partnerships. Analytical skills matter significantly, as most roles involve working with financial product data and customer acquisition metrics. For visa purposes, a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, economics, or a related field strengthens your H-1B specialty occupation case.
How do I time the visa process when targeting a Growth role at Brex?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, the critical window is USCIS's registration period in March. That means securing your offer and completing the DOL's Labor Condition Application process before that deadline. If you're on OPT, a 60-day grace period applies after employment ends, so avoid gaps in employment timing. Starting the recruiting process in the fall gives you the most runway to align an offer with the filing cycle.
