Align your credentials to healthcare data standards
Humana operates in a heavily regulated healthcare environment, so certifications in data governance, HL7, or HIPAA-adjacent tooling signal immediate relevance. Translate your experience into healthcare-specific terminology before you apply.
Target roles tied to Humana's core business lines
Data Contributor openings at Humana often support Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, or clinical analytics functions. Filtering your search by these business units increases your odds of landing a team that actively sponsors rather than one that recruits domestically.
Search verified sponsorship-friendly openings on Migrate Mate
Browse Data Contributor listings at Humana filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. This saves time you'd otherwise spend cold-applying to roles that never intended to sponsor international candidates.
Prepare a specialty occupation argument for your role
USCIS scrutinizes Data Contributor titles that sound generalist. Before filing, work with Humana's immigration counsel to document that your specific duties require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a directly related field like data science, statistics, or computer science.

Find Data Contributor at Humana JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Humana sponsor H-1B visas for Data Contributors?
Yes, Humana sponsors H-1B visas for Data Contributor roles. The company's immigration program covers the standard H-1B cap-subject process, including the annual lottery in March. Because Data Contributor positions at Humana typically require specialized knowledge of healthcare data systems, they generally meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, which strengthens the petition.
How do I apply for Data Contributor jobs at Humana?
Apply directly through Humana's careers portal, where you can filter by job category and location. Before submitting, tailor your resume to reflect healthcare data experience, including any work with claims data, clinical datasets, or managed care analytics. If you need visa sponsorship, flag that clearly in your application or recruiter screen. You can also browse verified open roles on Migrate Mate.
Which visa types does Humana commonly use for Data Contributor roles?
Humana sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Data Contributor positions, along with employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles fall under qualifying USMCA categories. For recent graduates, F-1 OPT is typically the first authorization used before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What qualifications does Humana expect for Data Contributor roles?
Humana's Data Contributor positions typically require a bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative field. Familiarity with SQL, Python, or healthcare-specific data environments like claims or clinical datasets is frequently listed. For USCIS H-1B purposes, the degree field needs to align directly with the role's core duties, not just general technology skills.
How do I time my application to maximize my sponsorship chances at Humana?
The H-1B lottery opens in March each year, so an offer before February gives Humana's immigration team time to prepare your petition. If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer needs a DOL-certified Labor Condition Application before filing with USCIS. Starting the recruitment process in the fall puts you in the strongest position to have an offer in place before the registration window opens.
