At Klaviyo, we value the unique backgrounds, experiences and perspectives each Klaviyo (we call ourselves Klaviyos) brings to our workplace each and every day. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at success and appreciate the experiences each person brings beyond the traditional job requirements. If you're a close but not exact match with the description, we hope you'll still consider applying. Want to learn more about life at Klaviyo? Visit klaviyo.com/careers to see how we empower creators to own their own destiny.
We're looking for a Director of Product Marketing to lead the core positioning, messaging, and go-to-market of our Klaviyo Marketing (aka K:Marketing) solution line.
You're a leader who wants to establish a strong POV and voice that cuts through the noise in the marketing automation software landscape. As competitors expand into full suites and AI-focused startups pop up, you and your team will be tasked with driving category leadership across our full omnichannel suite — including our newest frontier: AI agents that do the work of marketing for B2C brands.
If you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, love both the art and science of storytelling, and want to not only do the best work of your career, but also inspire and coach our team of passionate product marketers to do the best work of their careers, this role is for you!
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
How you'll make a difference: Lead a team of product marketers who are responsible for:
- Crafting differentiated, unified positioning & messaging for Klaviyo Marketing — spanning omnichannel automation, AI agents (Marketing Agent, Customer Agent, and Composer), and our full channel suite: email, SMS/RCS, WhatsApp, mobile push, and social
- Partnering with Product Managers as the voice of our customers, GTM teams, and the market to help shape our product roadmap — particularly as we scale our AI agent capabilities
- Launching new, innovative features and products into market that cut through the noisy marketing automation landscape — from net-new channels to agentic AI that autonomously builds campaigns, flows, and strategies
- Establishing Klaviyo as the definitive thought leader in B2C marketing by developing a strong POV on what it means for AI to handle the work of marketing — not just assist it
- Building core sales and marketing assets such as pitch decks, one pagers, enablement trainings, and more
- Supporting our Sales teams in strategic deals that require deep product expertise and a strong understanding of B2C customer needs and use cases
- Collaborating with our GTM PMM team to tailor messaging and create sales plays for our various target audience segments
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Who you are:
- 12+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing roles, ideally with a stint marketing to Marketing buyers (yes, slightly meta)
- 3+ years of experience directly managing and coaching individual contributors, building the next generation of great product marketers
- Know what great work looks like — bringing in frameworks and playbooks for our team, while knowing when to create our own playbook to move fast
- Have examples of great positioning and messaging that cut through the noise and differentiated your product or service — ideally in a landscape as crowded as marketing automation
- A clear perspective on AI and what it means for marketing practitioners — you understand the shift from "AI features" to "AI that acts," and can translate that into compelling narratives for buyers
- Unafraid of rolling up your sleeves and diving into the work, be it creating messaging, pitch decks, or other assets
- Love and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or marketing automation software is a major plus; experience marketing AI products or agentic software is a strong differentiator
This role may require up to 10% travel for purposes such as new hire onboarding, client or partner work if applicable, team meetings, and industry events. Travel is coordinated in advance.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Marketing Jobs at Klaviyo
Frame your portfolio around measurable pipeline impact
Klaviyo's Marketing roles, especially in demand generation and product marketing, center on revenue-driven outcomes. Quantify campaign ROI, pipeline contribution, and lifecycle metrics in your resume before you apply. Vague brand storytelling credentials won't move you forward.
Target roles that match your specific visa category
H-1B specialty occupation requirements mean your Marketing role needs a direct tie to your degree field. A marketing analytics or growth role maps more cleanly to a quantitative degree than a general brand management position does. Verify alignment before submitting.
Search Klaviyo's open Marketing roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters job listings by confirmed sponsorship history, so you can browse Klaviyo's active Marketing openings and see which roles have supported visa sponsorship without wading through postings from employers who won't file.
Ask about the LCA filing timeline before accepting an offer
Klaviyo must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition reaches USCIS. Once you have an offer, ask your recruiter where they are in that process so you can set realistic start date expectations, especially if you're transferring from another employer.
Prepare to address nonimmigrant intent proactively
If you're on OPT or a dependent visa transitioning to H-1B, consular officers at visa stamping appointments will scrutinize your intent. Having a clear narrative about your role, your employer's business, and your career trajectory in the U.S. strengthens your case.
Secure strong documentation of your specialty occupation status
USCIS scrutinizes whether Marketing roles qualify as specialty occupations. Gather documentation showing your position requires a specific bachelor's degree, such as your offer letter, the job description, and any internal compensation or leveling data your employer can provide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Klaviyo sponsor H-1B visas for Marketings?
Yes, Klaviyo sponsors H-1B visas for Marketing roles. The company has an active sponsorship track record in this function, covering areas like product marketing, demand generation, and growth marketing. Sponsorship is not automatic for every role, so confirm with your recruiter during the offer stage that your specific position is eligible before signing.
Which visa types are commonly used for Marketing roles at Klaviyo?
H-1B is the most common work visa path for Marketing professionals at Klaviyo. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, Klaviyo has also sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions, which typically require PERM labor certification through the DOL. Your path depends on your qualifications, degree field, and how your role is classified.
What qualifications are expected for Marketing roles at Klaviyo?
Klaviyo's Marketing roles typically require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, with the seniority level varying by position. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, the degree must relate directly to the role's core duties. Product marketing and analytics-heavy roles carry stronger specialty occupation arguments than generalist marketing positions.
How do I apply for Marketing jobs at Klaviyo?
You can browse Klaviyo's open Marketing roles and filter by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions from employers with confirmed sponsorship activity. Apply directly through Klaviyo's careers portal and signal your visa status early in the process so the recruiting team can loop in their immigration counsel before an offer is extended.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap and lottery?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, your employer needs to file your petition before your work authorization expires. Starting the conversation with Klaviyo's recruiting team no later than January gives them time to prepare the LCA filing with the DOL and meet the USCIS filing window.
