Tailor your resume to electrical construction projects
Rosendin hires Project Managers for utility-scale and commercial electrical work, not general construction. Highlight experience managing subcontractors, reading electrical drawings, and tracking RFIs or submittals. Generic construction PMs get screened out early.
Pursue OSHA and electrical certifications before applying
OSHA 30 and PMP credentials signal field readiness for Rosendin's site-heavy PM roles. Having these in hand before you apply removes a common objection employers raise when weighing sponsorship costs against candidate readiness.
Target regional offices with active project pipelines
Rosendin operates across multiple U.S. regions, and hiring is driven by active project awards. Research which divisions have recently won utility or data center contracts, then apply directly to openings tied to those locations.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Project Manager openings at employers with documented sponsorship track records in the energy sector. This narrows your search to companies actively filing, rather than those that only sponsor case by case.
Confirm your visa type is covered before the offer stage
Rosendin has sponsored H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, CPT, and J-1 candidates for this role. During interviews, ask HR directly which visa types their legal team is set up to process so you're not surprised after an offer is extended.
Build buffer time around USCIS H-1B filing windows
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, your offer needs to align with the April filing period. Work backward from the USCIS registration window in March and make sure Rosendin's HR and outside counsel are aligned well before that deadline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Rosendin Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Rosendin Electric has sponsored H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. Because H-1B sponsorship involves USCIS filing fees and legal costs, Rosendin typically extends this to candidates with specialized electrical construction experience who are difficult to source domestically. Raising sponsorship early in conversations with their HR team gives both sides time to plan around the annual USCIS registration window in March.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Rosendin Electric?
Apply directly through Rosendin Electric's careers page, targeting openings tied to active regional projects in energy infrastructure or commercial electrical construction. You can also browse verified Project Manager openings at Rosendin on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles from employers with documented sponsorship activity so you can prioritize applications where visa support is most likely.
Which visa types does Rosendin Electric commonly use for Project Manager roles?
Rosendin has sponsored Project Managers on H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas. TN visa is available only to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. OPT and CPT are tied to F-1 student status with limited authorized work windows. H-1B offers the longest-term work authorization and is the most common path for candidates seeking multi-year employment.
What qualifications does Rosendin Electric expect for Project Manager candidates seeking sponsorship?
Rosendin's Project Manager roles in the energy sector typically require a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field, along with hands-on experience managing electrical construction projects. Candidates with PMP certification and OSHA 30 credentials are competitive. Sponsorship is most viable when your background is specific to electrical or utility-scale work, not general contracting.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a Rosendin Project Manager role?
Timeline depends on your visa type. F-1 OPT can begin within 90 days of your program end date, while H-1B requires USCIS registration in March with an October 1 start date at the earliest. TN can be processed at a port of entry with same-day approval for eligible nationals. Engage Rosendin HR about sponsorship in your first interview so there's enough runway to align with filing deadlines.
