You should apply if:

In this role, you will:
Program & Project Management
- Own all phases of complex, cross-functional digital programs — from inbound ticket management, to planning through delivery — with a clear understanding of vision, scope, objectives, timelines, business value, and resource requirements.
- Develop holistic program plans composed of multiple project plan documents, including business requirements, technical specifications, schedules, funding, and resource plans.
- Track milestones, tasks, and deliverables; provide timely status updates to stakeholders and senior executives; and proactively identify and mitigate risks and dependencies.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and delivery quality.
Stakeholder & Executive Communication
- Serve as the strategic bridge between vision and tactical execution, translating high-level business objectives into actionable program roadmaps.
- Interface with executives and senior leadership to align on priorities, communicate timelines and approval frameworks, and present program progress and website demonstrations.
- Facilitate team discussions, resolve conflict, and remove impediments that block the team's ability to meet project objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Orchestrate the efforts of cross-functional teams — including Creative, IT, PMM, Campaigns, and front-end development — to execute strategic launches, awareness campaigns, website updates, and other digital initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define desired website functionality and appearance; lead the development team through product development stages and into live deployment.
- Work effectively with external agency providers, consultants, and contractors as needed.
Process & Documentation
- Document website development processes and procedures; establish and scale best practices across the digital program.
- Introduce mitigation tactics to minimize project delivery risks and drive continuous improvement across programs.

Frame your PMP credentials for hardware operations
Samsara's project management roles span physical device logistics and firmware deployment cycles. Certifications like PMP or PMI-ACP carry more weight when your resume explicitly connects them to hardware release schedules, NPI processes, or cross-functional supply chain coordination.
Target roles tied to fleet product launches
Samsara's Senior PM openings often cluster around new hardware product lines and customer deployment pipelines. Applying when a new product cycle is visible in job descriptions signals higher urgency to hire and stronger internal motivation to move quickly on sponsorship.
Clarify your OPT or TN timeline in early conversations
If you're on F-1 OPT or TN status, surface your authorization window and cap-out date before the offer stage. Recruiters need lead time to align H-1B filing timelines with USCIS's April 1 registration window, especially for roles with cross-functional dependencies.
Confirm the role qualifies as a specialty occupation
Not all Senior PM titles automatically satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements. Roles centered on hardware systems integration, technical program coordination, or engineering operations are stronger candidates than generalist management positions when your employer prepares the H-1B petition.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Senior PM openings by sponsorship type
Search Migrate Mate to identify which Samsara Senior Project Management postings are actively tied to H-1B, TN, or OPT sponsorship. Filtering by visa type early saves you from spending weeks pursuing roles the hiring team hasn't budgeted for sponsorship.
Verify PERM timelines if targeting permanent residence
If long-term residency matters to you, ask during the offer stage whether Samsara has initiated PERM labor certifications for similar roles before. DOL PERM processing can take 12 to 18 months, and starting that conversation early prevents delays after your H-1B is approved.

Does Samsara sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
Yes, Samsara sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Project Management roles. The role needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which is generally supported when the position involves technical program management tied to hardware systems, connected operations, or cross-functional engineering coordination rather than general business management.
Which visa types are commonly used for Senior Project Management roles at Samsara?
H-1B is the most common visa category for Senior Project Management positions at Samsara. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for candidates already in the U.S. on student status, TN visas are available for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals, and J-1 is occasionally used for program-based placements. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways are available for longer-term sponsorship.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at Samsara?
Browse open Senior Project Management positions at Samsara through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. Once you identify a fit, apply directly through Samsara's careers portal, tailoring your application to highlight hardware product lifecycle experience, cross-functional stakeholder management, and any relevant technical program management background.
What qualifications does Samsara expect for Senior Project Management roles?
Samsara typically looks for a bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical field, combined with demonstrated experience managing hardware or IoT product programs. PMP certification strengthens your profile. Experience with NPI processes, supply chain coordination, firmware deployment cycles, or fleet technology deployments aligns well with the operational scope of these roles.
How do I time my H-1B sponsorship application when targeting Samsara?
H-1B registrations open in early March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date and whether you qualify for the 24-month STEM extension, which gives additional buffer. Raise your visa status and timeline with Samsara's recruiting team before the offer stage so they can plan USCIS filing deadlines accordingly.
