Align your credentials to Schneider's technical standards
Schneider Electric's Engineering Technician roles in manufacturing typically require hands-on experience with electrical systems, PLCs, or automation equipment. Certifying relevant skills through NFPA 70E or IPC standards strengthens your profile before you apply.
Target Schneider's field service and plant openings
Engineering Technician postings at Schneider are concentrated in manufacturing plants and field service teams. Filtering by facility locations rather than corporate offices puts you in front of the hiring managers who control sponsorship decisions for this function.
Browse open roles directly through Migrate Mate
Search Schneider Electric's Engineering Technician openings on Migrate Mate to filter specifically for visa-sponsoring positions. It surfaces roles where sponsorship is active, saving you from applying to postings that exclude international candidates.
Understand how PERM affects your long-term path
Schneider sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, which require DOL PERM labor certification. For Engineering Technician roles, EB-3 is the more common pathway. Ask during the offer stage whether the company initiates PERM concurrently with your H-1B approval.
Prepare a technical portfolio before the offer stage
Schneider's hiring process for Engineering Technicians often includes practical assessments. Having documented project work, maintenance logs, or troubleshooting case studies ready accelerates the offer timeline and reduces delays before your employer files the I-129 with USCIS.

Find Engineering Technician at Schneider Electric JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Schneider Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Technicians?
Yes, Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Technician roles. The company operates across U.S. manufacturing and energy infrastructure, and technical functions like this one fall within its active sponsorship programs. You'll need a qualifying specialty occupation background and a role that meets USCIS's degree-requirement standard for H-1B eligibility.
Which visa types does Schneider Electric commonly sponsor for Engineering Technician roles?
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Technicians requiring specialized technical knowledge. Australian citizens may also be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has a separate annual cap and no lottery. For permanent residency, Schneider has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, with EB-3 being the more common route for technician-level positions that go through DOL PERM labor certification.
What qualifications does Schneider Electric expect for Engineering Technician positions?
Schneider Electric typically looks for candidates with an associate or bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial technology, combined with hands-on experience in areas like PLC programming, power distribution, or industrial automation. Familiarity with Schneider's own product lines, such as EcoStruxure or Modicon systems, is a practical advantage in the hiring process for manufacturing and field service roles.
How do I apply for Engineering Technician jobs at Schneider Electric?
You can find Engineering Technician openings at Schneider Electric through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles open to visa sponsorship candidates. Once you identify a role, apply directly through Schneider's careers portal. Tailor your application to the specific facility or product line listed in the posting, since hiring decisions for technician roles are often made at the site level, not centrally.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Schneider Electric?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed with USCIS in early April for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, coordinate your offer timeline so Schneider's legal team can prepare the I-129 petition before the registration window opens in March. Schneider's manufacturing roles can have multi-month onboarding requirements, so starting conversations with recruiters at least six months before your authorization expires is practical.
