INTRODUCTION
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
Snowflake's Sales Operations organization is seeking a Senior Manager for Go-to-Market (GTM) Planning to join our GTM Planning team. In this role, you will bring deep subject matter expertise in planning operations and lead a team of analysts and individual contributors responsible for executing in-year planning operations across the GTM organization. You will own the processes, systems, and operational rigor behind quota setting, attainment management, and in-year adjustments — ensuring planning outputs are accurate, on time, and trusted by the field. Additionally, you will partner closely with Field Operations, HR, Finance, and Enterprise Technology to coordinate cross-functional planning inputs and continuously improve the processes and tools that power GTM planning execution.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:
- Lead in-year operations execution across your assigned GTM coverage areas — including new hire quota setup, proration methodology, attainment checks, exception handling, and quota deployment.
- Own Pigment model governance within your domain: data inputs, model logic, version control, and output accuracy for in-year operations.
- Partner with Field Operations to ensure consistent and timely delivery of quota and attainment data; serve as the primary operational point of contact for in-year issues across your coverage.
- Design, document, and deliver enablement on in-year operations policies and processes for Field Operations and cross-functional partners.
- Drive cross-functional coordination with HR, Finance, and Enterprise Technology to ensure planning inputs and outputs are accurate, aligned to plan intent, and delivered on time.
- Identify process gaps and implement system-based improvements; drive automation and operational enhancements that reduce manual work and improve cycle reliability.
- Perform regular quota and attainment reviews to ensure accurate performance reporting and commissions processing across your scope.
- Manage and develop a team of analysts and individual contributors, building domain expertise, planning fundamentals, and a culture of rigor and ownership.
ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
- 7+ years of professional experience with a core focus in Sales Operations, GTM planning, or a comparable revenue operations role; experience at a high-growth enterprise technology company is preferred.
- Deep understanding of in-year sales operations processes, including quota methodology, attainment calculation, exception frameworks, and compensation plan operationalization.
- Proficiency in Pigment or comparable planning tools (e.g., Anaplan), including model building, data integration, and version control.
- Strong command of Salesforce and BI/reporting tools (Sigma, Tableau, or equivalent), with the ability to produce reliable planning outputs and dashboards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships, facilitate alignment across HR, Finance, and IT/ET partners, and drive decisions forward.
- Proven track record of delivering accurate, high-quality planning outputs on tight timelines, with the judgment to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Experience managing and developing individual contributors, with a focus on building team capability, documentation standards, and operational discipline.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools; SQL experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.

Frame your operations experience around data workflows
Snowflake's Operations roles sit close to its core product, so resumes that show experience with CRM systems, data pipelines, or cloud-based business tools read as a stronger fit than general ops backgrounds.
Target roles with cross-functional systems ownership
Snowflake's operations hiring often centers on candidates who own revenue or GTM tooling end-to-end. Roles emphasizing Salesforce administration, quote-to-cash processes, or systems integration tend to qualify as specialty occupations, which strengthens your H-1B petition.
Start your job search before your OPT window narrows
If you're on F-1 OPT, Snowflake can file your H-1B cap-subject petition in April for an October 1 start. Starting your search at least four months before your OPT expires leaves room for the lottery and USCIS adjudication without a status gap.
Confirm your offer letter specifies a specialty occupation
When Snowflake extends an offer, review the job title and duties carefully. For H-1B purposes, the offer letter and Labor Condition Application filed with DOL must reflect a role requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical or business field.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Operations roles at Snowflake by visa type
Snowflake posts operations roles across multiple teams and locations, which makes it easy to miss positions that match your sponsorship situation. Migrate Mate lets you filter Snowflake's open jobs by the visa types they sponsor, so you're only applying where you're actually eligible.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
If your operations or business degree is from a non-U.S. institution, USCIS will scrutinize whether it meets the specialty occupation standard. A credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization, secured before your employer files the I-129, prevents delays during adjudication.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Snowflake sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas for Operations positions. Operations roles in revenue operations, sales operations, and business systems typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, particularly when the position requires a degree in a specific field such as business, information systems, or a related technical discipline. Snowflake's legal and HR teams are experienced with the H-1B petition process.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Snowflake?
Applications go through Snowflake's careers site, where Operations roles are listed under categories like Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, and Business Systems. Tailoring your application to highlight systems ownership, data tooling experience, and cross-functional collaboration improves your chances. You can also browse and filter Snowflake's open Operations roles by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate before applying directly.
Which visa types does Snowflake commonly use for Operations hires?
Snowflake sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for Operations roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying operations or business analyst roles. Green Card sponsorship through PERM is available for longer-tenured employees.
What qualifications does Snowflake expect for Operations roles?
Most Operations positions at Snowflake require a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, finance, or a related field. Beyond the degree, Snowflake prioritizes hands-on experience with GTM tools like Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, comfort working with data to drive process improvements, and the ability to manage projects across sales, finance, and engineering teams without close supervision.
How does the H-1B sponsorship timeline work if I get an Operations offer from Snowflake?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, Snowflake would need to file your petition during the April registration window for an October 1 start date. If you're already on OPT, you can begin work immediately and maintain status through the cap-gap rule while USCIS adjudicates your petition. Premium processing is available and typically resolves adjudication within 15 business days of USCIS receipt.
