Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Service & Sales Representative Jobs at Stryker Jobs
Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility for a sales role requires demonstrating that a specific bachelor's degree is a normal requirement for the position. For medical device roles at Stryker, degrees in biomedical engineering, life sciences, or kinesiology strengthen this argument more than general business degrees.
Target Stryker divisions with active field openings
Stryker's spine, joint replacement, and surgical robotics divisions consistently post Service & Sales Representative openings across major metro markets. Focusing your applications on high-volume surgical hubs like Dallas, Chicago, or Los Angeles increases your chances of finding a manager already familiar with sponsorship processes.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Stryker openings by visa type
Not every Stryker job posting flags sponsorship availability, and filtering manually across their careers portal is slow. Migrate Mate surfaces Service & Sales Representative roles at Stryker that are open to sponsored candidates, so you can focus applications where sponsorship is already on the table.
Clarify OPT status early in recruiter conversations
F-1 OPT gives you up to 12 months of work authorization post-graduation, extended to 36 months for STEM-eligible degrees. Biomedical or life sciences graduates applying to Stryker should confirm OPT eligibility with their DSO before the first interview to avoid confusion about your start date availability.
Negotiate a start date that accounts for LCA processing
Before Stryker can file your H-1B petition, your employer must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL. This step alone takes one to three weeks under standard processing. When you receive an offer, build this window into your proposed start date to avoid last-minute filing pressure.
Prepare territory-specific product knowledge before interviews
Stryker evaluates Sales Representative candidates on clinical knowledge and territory readiness, not just work authorization status. Arriving to interviews with familiarity of the specific product line for that opening, whether orthopaedic implants or endoscopy tools, signals you can contribute from day one and reduces employer hesitation around sponsorship timelines.

Find Service & Sales Representative at Stryker JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Stryker sponsor H-1B visas for Service & Sales Representatives?
Yes, Stryker has an established track record of sponsoring H-1B visas for Service & Sales Representatives. Approval depends on whether the specific role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which typically requires the position to mandate a degree in a specific field such as biomedical engineering or life sciences rather than accepting any bachelor's degree.
How do I apply for Service & Sales Representative jobs at Stryker?
You can apply directly through Stryker's careers portal or browse open roles on Migrate Mate, which filters positions at Stryker that are open to visa-sponsored candidates. Tailor your application to the specific product division and geography, since hiring decisions for Service & Sales Representatives are largely made at the regional manager level rather than centrally.
Which visa types does Stryker commonly use for Service & Sales Representative roles?
Stryker sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization path for Service & Sales Representatives, and also supports F-1 OPT and STEM OPT for recent graduates in qualifying degree programs. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Stryker has used PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 categories, and TN status is available for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals.
What qualifications does Stryker expect for Service & Sales Representative roles?
Stryker typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or health-related field, though business degrees are accepted in some divisions. Relevant clinical exposure, medical device sales experience, or work in an operating room environment strengthens your candidacy significantly. For sponsored candidates, a degree that maps directly to the role's technical requirements makes H-1B specialty occupation classification more straightforward.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take once Stryker makes an offer?
For H-1B sponsorship, the process starts with a DOL Labor Condition Application, which takes one to three weeks. If you're filing under the standard cap, USCIS adjudication adds several months unless your employer opts for premium processing, which USCIS targets at 15 business days. For F-1 OPT candidates, authorization is typically already in place and no additional filing is required before your start date.
