Align your credentials to VAST Data's architecture stack
VAST Data's Architect roles center on distributed storage, data infrastructure, and AI-scale systems. Before applying, document hands-on experience with NVMe, parallel file systems, or large-scale data platforms so your resume maps directly to what their hiring panels assess.
Target roles where your visa type fits
VAST Data sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas for technical roles. If you're on OPT, apply with enough runway for the employer to complete an H-1B filing before your authorization expires, since architecture roles typically clear a formal review cycle before offer.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Architect positions
VAST Data lists a large number of Architect openings across specializations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles that match your visa status, so you're only spending time on positions where sponsorship is already confirmed for your situation.
Raise visa sponsorship during the final interview round
At VAST Data, architecture hiring typically runs through multiple technical rounds before an offer conversation. Wait until you have a verbal indication of fit before raising sponsorship logistics, so the discussion happens when the team already wants to move forward with you.
Verify your H-1B specialty occupation framing early
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for roles like Solutions Architect where job duties can blur between sales and engineering. Work with your immigration attorney to frame your role description around the technical, degree-required functions before your employer submits the I-129.
Track the H-1B registration window on the USCIS calendar
USCIS opens H-1B electronic registration in early March for a roughly two-week window. If you're targeting an H-1B transfer or new petition at VAST Data, confirm your start date and offer letter are finalized well before that window to avoid missing the only filing opportunity for that fiscal year.

Does VAST Data sponsor H-1B visas for Architects?
Yes, VAST Data sponsors H-1B visas for Architect roles. Architecture positions at the company are technical and degree-intensive, which generally satisfies USCIS's specialty occupation standard for H-1B eligibility. If you're transferring an existing H-1B or entering the lottery as a new applicant, confirm the specific role's duties map to a qualifying field before your employer files the I-129 petition.
Which visa types are commonly used for Architect roles at VAST Data?
H-1B is the most common long-term work visa path for Architect roles at VAST Data. F-1 OPT and CPT are options for recent graduates entering the role earlier in their career, and TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or computer science occupations. Each visa type has different timeline and renewal implications worth planning around before you apply.
What qualifications and experience does VAST Data expect for Architect roles?
VAST Data's Architect positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related technical field. Beyond credentials, the company looks for deep experience with enterprise storage infrastructure, distributed systems, or data platform architecture at scale. Familiarity with AI or machine learning workloads is increasingly relevant given the company's product direction in the data infrastructure space.
How do I apply for Architect jobs at VAST Data?
You can browse and apply for Architect positions at VAST Data directly through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters open roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your status is supported before applying. VAST Data carries a large volume of active Architect openings across specializations, so filtering by the specific architecture function closest to your background will improve your targeting considerably.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing an Architect role at VAST Data on a visa?
Timeline depends on your current visa status. If you're on OPT, factor in the H-1B registration window in early March and work backward from your OPT expiration to confirm you have enough time for an offer, petition preparation, and USCIS processing. If you're transferring an H-1B, you can start as soon as VAST Data files a new I-129 petition, which carries no cap restriction for transfers.
