Align your credentials to enterprise architecture frameworks
CDW Architect roles typically require demonstrable expertise in platforms like Cisco, Microsoft Azure, or AWS. Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or Cisco CCDP strengthen your H-1B specialty occupation case and signal fit to CDW's technical hiring teams.
Research CDW's PERM filings for architecture roles
DOL's OFLC disclosure data lists CDW's past PERM-based Green Card filings by job title. Searching for Architect positions tells you which seniority levels CDW has historically sponsored for permanent residence, helping you target roles with a realistic long-term immigration path.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before your final interview
CDW is E-Verify enrolled, which is required for F-1 OPT STEM extension eligibility. Verify this through E-Verify's employer search before accepting an offer so your 24-month STEM OPT extension timeline isn't disrupted by an administrative oversight late in the process.
Time your application around CDW's hiring cycles
CDW scales architecture headcount ahead of major fiscal quarters and enterprise client contract cycles. Submitting your application in Q4 or early Q1 positions you for roles that need to be filled before H-1B cap season, giving your sponsor more lead time for April filing.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Architect roles at CDW
Identifying which of CDW's open Architect positions are actively open to sponsored candidates saves significant time. Migrate Mate filters CDW's listings specifically for visa-sponsoring roles, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already on the table rather than guessing.
Clarify TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status covers Computer Systems Analysts and certain engineering roles, and CDW does sponsor TN candidates. Confirm with the recruiting team that your specific Architect title and job duties map to an eligible TN occupation category before the offer letter is drafted.

Find Architect at CDW JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CDW sponsor H-1B visas for Architects?
Yes, CDW sponsors H-1B visas for Architect roles. CDW's technical architecture positions typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, given the degree requirements in fields like computer science, information systems, or engineering. CDW has an established immigration process and works with outside counsel to manage H-1B filings, so sponsorship for qualified Architect candidates is a standard part of their hiring workflow.
How do I apply for Architect jobs at CDW?
You can browse and apply for CDW's open Architect positions directly through CDW's careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which surfaces CDW roles filtered for visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect enterprise architecture experience relevant to CDW's core practice areas, including cloud infrastructure, networking, and security. Highlighting relevant vendor certifications upfront helps your application clear initial technical screening.
Which visa types does CDW commonly sponsor for Architect roles?
CDW sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT (including STEM OPT extension) for Architect positions. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, CDW also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which involve PERM labor certification through the DOL. The right visa pathway depends on your citizenship, current status, and how far along you are in your career.
What qualifications does CDW expect for sponsored Architect roles?
CDW's Architect roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with enterprise platforms such as Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, or VMware is expected at most seniority levels. Vendor certifications strengthen both your candidacy and the H-1B specialty occupation determination USCIS will evaluate.
How do I navigate the timeline between receiving an offer and starting work on a sponsored visa?
If you're changing H-1B employers, CDW can file a transfer petition and you can start working as soon as USCIS receives it, assuming you're maintaining valid status. For new H-1B cap cases, petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date. F-1 OPT holders can bridge the gap using their existing work authorization while the H-1B petition is pending, provided OPT remains valid.
