Frame Your Architecture Experience Around AI Infrastructure
VAST Data sells into AI and data-intensive environments, so position your pre-sales or solutions architecture background around GPU clusters, high-throughput storage, or large-scale data pipelines. Generic enterprise architecture experience is harder to land here than deep infrastructure specialization.
Verify Your OPT Timeline Before Applying
Technical Architect roles at VAST Data often move through multiple interview rounds before an offer lands. If you're on F-1 OPT, map your remaining authorized period against a realistic hiring timeline so you're not scrambling at the offer stage.
Target Openings Across Multiple U.S. Regions
VAST Data's Technical Architect headcount is distributed across several metro markets, not concentrated in a single hub. Applying to multiple listed locations increases your odds of a match before H-1B cap season or OPT expiration creates urgency.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active Sponsorship Openings
Search for Technical Architect roles at VAST Data directly on Migrate Mate, which filters for companies with a verified sponsorship history for this function. That saves you from cold-applying to postings where sponsorship is unconfirmed.
Raise Visa Type Early in Recruiter Conversations
VAST Data sponsors H-1B, TN, and OPT, but each has different employer obligations with DOL and USCIS. Confirming which category your situation falls under in the first recruiter screen prevents misaligned expectations deep into the process.
Get Your Technical Credentials Documented Before Final Rounds
H-1B petitions for Technical Architect roles require evidence of a qualifying specialty occupation. Pull together degree transcripts, any relevant certifications in storage or cloud architecture, and employment verification letters before you reach the offer stage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does VAST Data sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Architects?
Yes, VAST Data sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Architect roles. Because this is a specialty occupation tied to a specific technical domain, your petition will need to demonstrate that the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Your employer coordinates the filing with USCIS, but having your credentials organized early speeds the process significantly.
Which visa types are commonly used for Technical Architect roles at VAST Data?
VAST Data supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Technical Architect hires. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering a first role, while H-1B is the standard long-term path. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technology occupations can use the TN category, which has no annual lottery and can be renewed indefinitely.
What qualifications or experience does VAST Data expect for Technical Architect roles?
VAST Data's Technical Architect openings typically require a background in pre-sales or solutions architecture with hands-on experience in enterprise storage, distributed systems, or AI infrastructure. Familiarity with GPU-based workloads or large-scale data pipelines is frequently cited in postings. A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field is the standard educational baseline.
How do I apply for Technical Architect jobs at VAST Data?
Browse open Technical Architect roles at VAST Data on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions where visa sponsorship has been confirmed for this function. Once you identify a match, apply directly through VAST Data's careers portal. Before your first recruiter call, confirm your visa category and current authorization period so the conversation can move efficiently toward an offer.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship from VAST Data?
The H-1B cap lottery opens each April for an October 1 start date, so the window between offer and authorized start can run six months or longer. If you're transitioning off F-1 OPT, cap-gap provisions may bridge that period. Aligning your job search to start no later than January or February gives you time to clear interviews, negotiate an offer, and allow USCIS registration before the filing window closes.
