Align your stack with Veeva's product engineering
Veeva builds on Java, AWS, and Salesforce-adjacent platforms for regulated industries. Highlighting experience with enterprise SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or data compliance in your resume signals relevance before the recruiter screen.
Confirm OPT eligibility before your F-1 expires
Veeva sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, but your employer authorization must be active before your start date. USCIS recommends filing your EAD application at least 90 days before your OPT start date to avoid gaps.
Target roles in Veeva's regulated-data engineering teams
Engineering positions tied to Veeva Vault or Clinical Data Cloud tend to require domain-specific software skills that strengthen a specialty occupation argument for H-1B purposes. These roles map cleanly to computer science or engineering degree requirements.
Negotiate your offer timeline around H-1B cap dates
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed for an October 1 start date. If Veeva extends you an offer in spring, confirm with HR whether they'll file in the April registration window so employment authorization aligns.
Verify Veeva's E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
Employers sponsoring H-1B and OPT STEM extensions must be enrolled in E-Verify. Veeva is enrolled, which is a prerequisite for your STEM OPT 24-month extension application through your Designated School Official.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Software Engineer roles

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Veeva Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, Veeva Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineer roles. Veeva has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions for technical positions, and its Software Engineer openings regularly qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria given the degree-specific nature of the work. You should confirm sponsorship intent with your recruiter early in the process.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Veeva Systems?
You can apply directly through Veeva's careers portal or find verified sponsorship-eligible listings through Migrate Mate. Veeva's Software Engineer hiring typically involves a recruiter screen, a technical assessment covering system design and coding, and panel interviews with engineering teams. Flagging your visa situation early in the recruiter call avoids wasted time on roles where sponsorship isn't available for your specific category.
Which visa types does Veeva Systems commonly use for Software Engineers?
Veeva sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for Software Engineer roles, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employment. TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying computer-related occupations. The right category depends on your citizenship, education, and where you are in the immigration process.
What qualifications does Veeva look for in Software Engineer candidates?
Veeva's Software Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Proficiency in Java or Python, experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, and exposure to enterprise or regulated-industry software are recurring requirements. For H-1B purposes, the degree-field match matters. A generic business or liberal arts degree may complicate the specialty occupation determination even with strong coding skills.
How do I time my application if I need H-1B sponsorship at Veeva?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed once per year, with USCIS opening electronic registrations in March and employment starting October 1 if selected. If you're finishing OPT or currently outside the U.S., aim to have an offer finalized by February so Veeva's legal team can prepare your petition in time for the registration window. Missing the window means waiting a full year for the next cycle.
