Content Marketing Specialist Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a content marketing specialist in Florida?
Most Florida employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English, or journalism as the foundation for this role. There is no state-issued license required to work as a content marketing specialist in Florida, so the hiring path centers on building a strong portfolio of real published work and earning recognized credentials such as the HubSpot Content Marketing Certification or Google Analytics certification. Many candidates start in adjacent roles like copywriter, social media coordinator, or marketing assistant at Florida agencies or in-house brand teams before moving into a specialist position.
How much do content marketing specialists make in Florida?
Content marketing specialists in Florida earn a median of about $75,450 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $38,830 for the lowest 10% to over $130,570 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire content marketing specialists in Florida?
Employers hiring content marketing specialists in Florida right now include GrantWatch, DHL, and Ripple, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's mix of large hospitality brands, regional healthcare systems, and growing fintech companies makes it one of the more varied content marketing markets in the Southeast.
Which Florida cities have the most content marketing specialist jobs?
Miami, Boynton Beach, and Ocala have the most content marketing specialist openings in Florida. Miami's concentration of multinational brands, Latin American regional headquarters, and a robust agency scene drives its volume, while Tampa and Orlando draw demand from healthcare systems, tourism companies, and a fast-growing technology sector that collectively require significant ongoing content production.
Are there remote content marketing specialist jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 42% of content marketing specialist openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally suited the role is to distributed work. Content strategy, SEO writing, and editorial planning are the functions most commonly offered fully remotely, while roles that require close collaboration with local creative or video production teams tend to call for at least a hybrid arrangement.
How can I get hired as a content marketing specialist in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a marketing coordinator or copywriter role at a Florida agency or in-house marketing department and building a portfolio from there. Large Florida employers like AdventHealth and Carnival Corporation post entry-level marketing associate openings that serve as direct pipelines into content roles. Completing the HubSpot Content Marketing Certification before applying gives candidates a concrete credential when professional experience is thin, and freelance contributions to Florida-based publications or nonprofit organizations can substitute for employer-held portfolio pieces.
Where can I find and apply to content marketing specialist jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to content marketing specialist jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and specialty, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
