DESCRIPTION
Key job responsibilities
- Own the enterprise customer operational relationship across all freight modes (TL, IMDL, LTL), serving as the single threaded point of contact for your accounts' operational points of contact
- Identify systemic operational defects impacting your accounts using performance dashboards and customer feedback. Quantify the problem in dollars, loads, and retention risk
- Coordinate cross functional teams to resolution: gather customer insights, understand requirements, bring the right internal teams together, align on the path forward, and ensure we deliver. You don't solve problems alone but you own making sure they get solved
- Own the customer facing performance narrative. Lead Quarterly Business Reviews, produce recovery plans during performance degradation, and proactively communicate progress on open issues with timelines and measurable targets
- Own escalation communication to customer executives when something goes wrong: what's happening, what we're doing about it, and how we're tracking toward resolution
- Own internal reporting, including MBRs, account bridges, and leading inspection mechanisms for your accounts. Report out on performance metrics, cost inputs, and customer KPIs
- Influence customer operations to drive optimal inputs that lower our costs. Define what good looks like, measure it, and partner with customers to change how they operate
- Activate structured recovery programs before the customer escalates
A day in the life
Your day starts with account health dashboards, spotting a detention-charge trend at one customer's facilities and digging into its cause. By midmorning you're briefing a customer's regional transportation director on performance, then rallying ops and pricing partners on a structural issue hitting multiple facilities. After lunch you build your MBR narrative, quantifying your team's impact and open items. Later you lead a working session with operations and product on a fix to prevent recurring defects, then close by updating a customer VP on a two-week escalation, showing progress against committed targets.

Customer Success Analyst Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer success analyst in Tennessee?
Customer success analyst roles in Tennessee require no state-issued license or registration. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, communications, information technology, or a related field. Tennessee's concentration of SaaS companies in Nashville and healthcare technology firms statewide means candidates who combine analytical skills with platform experience in Salesforce or Gainsight are consistently prioritized. Certifications from Gainsight or the Customer Success Association can strengthen a candidacy.
Which companies hire customer success analysts in Tennessee?
Employers hiring customer success analysts in Tennessee right now include Oracle, Cengage, and Commify, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Tennessee's strong presence of healthcare IT, insurance technology, and device protection companies means hiring activity is spread across both enterprise and mid-market employers headquartered in the state.
Which Tennessee cities have the most customer success analyst jobs?
Nashville, Tennessee, and Memphis have the most customer success analyst openings in Tennessee. Nashville dominates because of its dense concentration of SaaS platforms, healthcare technology companies, and insurance carriers, while Memphis benefits from logistics-tech and financial services firms, and Knoxville draws from its growing technology and managed services sector.
Are there remote customer success analyst jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most fields. Customer success analyst work is desk-based, communication-driven, and platform-dependent, which makes it one of the more remote-compatible roles in the market. About 50% of customer success analyst openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with fully remote positions most common in enterprise SaaS and health tech companies.
How can I get hired as a customer success analyst in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a customer support, technical support, or account coordinator role at one of Tennessee's large SaaS or healthcare technology employers, where internal movement into customer success analyst positions is common. Companies like Asurion and HCA Healthcare run structured associate and onboarding programs that hire candidates without direct CSA experience. Building proficiency in Salesforce and completing a Gainsight certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge.
