Customer Success Specialist Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer success specialist in Tennessee?
Tennessee does not require a state-issued license for customer success specialists, so the path centers on education and experience. Most Tennessee employers expect at least a bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field. Candidates who also hold certifications such as the Customer Success Manager Certified Professional credential are competitive. Building experience in account management, technical support, or client services at a Nashville or Memphis technology or healthcare company is the most direct route into the role.
How much do customer success specialists make in Tennessee?
Customer success specialists in Tennessee earn a median of about $42,830 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $31,100 for the lowest 10% to over $60,070 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire customer success specialists in Tennessee?
Employers hiring customer success specialists in Tennessee right now include NetraDyne, TRC, and Mosai, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tennessee's concentration of healthcare technology, insurance, and logistics companies means a wide range of industries maintain active customer success teams across the state.
Which Tennessee cities have the most customer success specialist jobs?
Nashville, Knoxville, and Tennessee have the most customer success specialist openings in Tennessee. Nashville dominates because it is home to a large cluster of health-tech, SaaS, and financial services companies, while Memphis draws openings from logistics and supply-chain software firms, and Knoxville reflects growing demand from regional technology and energy sector employers.
Are there remote customer success specialist jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most fields, because customer success work is desk-based and conducted largely over video, phone, and digital platforms. About 90% of customer success specialist openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how well-suited the role is to distributed work. Fully remote positions are most common in SaaS onboarding and enterprise account management, while roles requiring on-site client training tend to stay hybrid.
How can I get hired as a customer success specialist in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into customer success from a related role such as technical support, inside sales, or client services, all of which are common first jobs at Nashville's health-tech and SaaS companies. Employers like HCA Healthcare and Asurion run associate and rotational programs that place entry-level candidates in customer-facing roles. Earning a recognized customer success certification and building product knowledge in a support or onboarding function gives candidates without direct experience a concrete edge when applying.
Where can I find and apply to customer success specialist jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to customer success specialist jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current Tennessee openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
