Customer Success Director Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer success director in Tennessee?
There is no state-issued license required to work as a customer success director in Tennessee. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree paired with several years of progressive experience in customer success, account management, or a related commercial role. Nashville-based technology and healthcare technology companies typically promote candidates who have managed renewal cycles and cross-functional teams, while Salesforce and Gainsight platform certifications strengthen applications considerably.
Which companies hire customer success directors in Tennessee?
Employers hiring customer success directors in Tennessee right now include NetraDyne, TRC, and Mosai, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tennessee's concentration of healthcare technology firms and logistics software companies means these openings frequently require domain knowledge specific to those industries.
Which Tennessee cities have the most customer success director jobs?
Nashville, Knoxville, and Tennessee have the most customer success director openings in Tennessee. Nashville drives the largest share of demand thanks to its dense cluster of healthcare technology headquarters and rapidly growing SaaS companies, while Memphis attracts openings tied to supply chain software and logistics platforms that serve its freight and distribution economy.
Are there remote customer success director jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most leadership roles, because customer success directors at the director level often manage distributed teams and work with clients across multiple time zones. About 90% of customer success director openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how portable the role has become. Strategic oversight, QBR preparation, and team coaching are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a customer success director in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving up from a senior customer success manager or enterprise account manager role at a Nashville or Brentwood technology company, where internal promotion into director-level positions is common. Employers like Asurion and healthcare IT firms in the Nashville health-tech corridor regularly develop talent from individual contributor roles. Earning a Gainsight or Salesforce administrator certification and demonstrating ownership of a renewal book, even a small one, positions a candidate for that first director title.
Where can I find and apply to customer success director jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to customer success director jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current Tennessee openings across Nashville, Memphis, Brentwood, and beyond. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly to the employers posting them.
