Data Analytics Manager Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data analytics manager in New Jersey?
Data analytics manager is not a state-licensed role in New Jersey, so there is no board exam or registration required. Most hiring managers in New Jersey expect a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and progressive experience moving from analyst to lead analyst to manager. Employers in the pharma corridor around Princeton and the financial services firms in Jersey City and Newark commonly promote from within, so building domain expertise in those industries accelerates the path to a manager title.
How much do data analytics managers make in New Jersey?
Data analytics managers in New Jersey earn a median of about $135,280 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $80,720 for the lowest 10% to over $203,950 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire data analytics managers in New Jersey?
Employers hiring data analytics managers in New Jersey right now include JPMorganChase, The Cigna, and TD, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New Jersey's dense concentration of pharmaceutical headquarters, insurance carriers, and global technology firms means demand for analytics leadership is distributed across multiple industries rather than dominated by a single sector.
Which New Jersey cities have the most data analytics manager jobs?
Jersey City, Newark, and Morris Plains have the most data analytics manager openings in New Jersey. Jersey City and Newark draw volume from the financial services and tech firms anchored along the Hudson waterfront, while Princeton and its surrounding suburbs attract heavy demand from the pharmaceutical and life sciences companies headquartered in that corridor, making the distribution closely tied to industry geography rather than pure population size.
Are there remote data analytics manager jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 44% of data analytics manager openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how thoroughly desk-based and cloud-dependent this work has become. The parts of the role most commonly offered remotely include reporting, modeling, and stakeholder presentation work, while on-site expectations tend to apply when the manager needs to embed with a specific business unit or lead in-person planning cycles.
How can I get hired as a data analytics manager in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a data analytics manager role from a senior analyst or analytics lead position within the same company. New Jersey's large pharmaceutical employers, including those in the Princeton and Parsippany areas, regularly run rotational analyst programs for recent graduates that are designed to develop future managers. Building a portfolio of end-to-end projects, earning a credential such as a Google Data Analytics or Microsoft Power BI certification, and targeting analyst-to-manager internal pipelines at established New Jersey firms gives candidates without prior management titles the clearest route in.
Where can I find and apply to data analytics manager jobs in New Jersey?
You can find and apply to data analytics manager jobs in New Jersey on Migrate Mate, which lists current New Jersey openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and target industry, and apply directly to each position that fits.
