Most director of demand generation roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications, followed by progressive experience in digital marketing or growth roles. Georgia does not issue a state license for this position, so advancement depends on a demonstrated record of leading pipeline programs and managing teams. Many Georgia employers, particularly in Atlanta's technology and financial services sectors, value experience with enterprise marketing stacks and cross-functional revenue leadership over formal credentials alone.

Employers hiring director of demand generations in Georgia right now include Sage, Tosca, and Distro, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of financial technology, logistics, and enterprise software companies in and around Atlanta means demand generation leadership roles are particularly active among companies scaling regional or national revenue operations.
Which Georgia cities have the most director of demand generation jobs?
The most director of demand generation openings in Georgia are in Atlanta, Georgia, and Duluth. Atlanta dominates because it anchors Georgia's largest cluster of corporate headquarters and technology firms, while Alpharetta draws significant activity from the financial technology and cybersecurity companies concentrated in that suburban corridor, and other listed cities reflect the regional offices of large national employers with Georgia footprints.

About 100% of director of demand generation openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the role lends itself to distributed work. How can I get hired as a director of demand generation in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a demand generation manager or senior marketing manager role at one of Georgia's mid-market technology or fintech companies, where team structures are leaner and directors often emerge from within. Atlanta-based employers like Global Payments and Salesforce's regional offices frequently post manager-level roles that serve as direct pipelines to director positions.
