Cloud Sales Engineer Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a cloud sales engineer in Georgia?
Most Georgia employers look for a bachelor's degree in a technical field combined with hands-on cloud experience, typically AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. There is no state-issued license required to work as a cloud sales engineer in Georgia. Earning a vendor-recognized certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Administrator, is the most direct credential that distinguishes candidates in the Atlanta and Alpharetta markets where competition for these roles is strongest.
How much do cloud sales engineers make in Georgia?
Cloud sales engineers in Georgia earn a median of about $98,840 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,580 for the lowest 10% to over $159,760 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire cloud sales engineers in Georgia?
Employers hiring cloud sales engineers in Georgia right now include Google, NTT DATA, and Truist, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of financial technology firms, logistics companies, and global enterprise tech hubs in the Atlanta metro makes it one of the more active states for this role in the Southeast.
Which Georgia cities have the most cloud sales engineer jobs?
Atlanta, Georgia, and Warner Robins account for the largest share of cloud sales engineer openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it is home to major enterprise technology hubs and Fortune 500 headquarters, while Alpharetta's dense concentration of technology company campuses and Savannah's growing logistics and port-adjacent enterprise sector drive hiring in those markets.
Are there remote cloud sales engineer jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 72% of cloud sales engineer openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally suited the role is to distributed work. The portions of the role most commonly done remotely are discovery calls, solution demos, and proposal development, while on-site presence is more common during deal closing and enterprise account kickoffs.
How can I get hired as a cloud sales engineer in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a technical support, solutions architect associate, or inside sales role at a cloud-focused company into a junior presales position. Large Georgia-based technology employers and Atlanta-area Salesforce, Cisco, and NCR Voyix offices run associate presales and sales development programs that consider candidates without direct cloud sales experience. Earning an entry-level cloud certification and building a portfolio of demo recordings or proof-of-concept projects gives candidates a concrete edge when applying to these associate-level openings.
Where can I find and apply to cloud sales engineer jobs in Georgia?
