Your impact is measured by the outcome of the workstream and the capability you build around it — not by how many hard problems you personally solve or how closely you're managed along the way. You'll shape how PowerPlan's Professional Services organization delivers, scales, and develops its people.
About PowerPlan
We're in the middle of one of the most significant transformations in our history. Decades of proven functionality are being reimagined on a modern SaaS foundation, while AI becomes central to how we build, deliver, and evolve our products. The next generation of the PowerPlan platform is being designed right now. Join us, and you'll have the opportunity to influence the technology, engineering practices, and capabilities that will shape it for years to come.
Your Impact
- Lead the technical workstream end-to-end — discovery, design, build, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization — with a delivery plan that makes dependencies, milestones, and open decisions visible to everyone.
- Make readiness decisions on evidence, not schedule pressure, using explicit criteria at design-complete, build-complete, and cutover gates.
- Turn ambiguous technical problems into decision-ready escalations — evidence, options, and a recommendation — instead of raw status updates.
- Lead technical workshops and design sessions, translating complex topics for engineers, business stakeholders, and executives alike.
- Transfer knowledge deliberately throughout the engagement so customers can operate and support the solution independently.
- Connect technical decisions to schedule, cost, risk, and client obligations, catching scope drift before it becomes a change-order surprise.
- Coach other consultants through the reasoning behind a solution, and build the reusable standards and playbooks that reduce key-person dependency.
What Success Looks Like
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience leading complex technical delivery end-to-end, from discovery through go-live and stabilization, across enterprise implementations, integrations, or cloud initiatives.
- A track record of building and maintaining delivery plans that keep dependencies, milestones, and decisions visible to the full team.
- Strong judgment for evidence-based readiness decisions, and the discipline to call something “not ready” even under schedule pressure.
- Experience escalating problems as decision-ready recommendations — with evidence, options, and impact — rather than raw status updates.
- Comfort leading technical workshops and translating complex topics for audiences ranging from engineers to executives.
- A history of transferring knowledge deliberately so customers and teammates can operate independently.
- Ability to connect technical decisions to cost, schedule, risk, and client obligations, and to spot scope or budget risk early.
- Experience coaching or mentoring other technical consultants, and building reusable standards, templates, or playbooks.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Please note that this is a hybrid role that involves a combination of onsite work from our corporate office as well as work from home. While we strive to accommodate flexible working arrangements when sensible, there will be times when onsite work is required. This could include scheduled office days, team meetings, client meetings, or special events.

Technical Sales Consultant Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a technical sales consultant in Georgia?
Most technical sales consultant roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, though the specific field depends on the industry. Georgia does not issue a state license for general technical sales, so employers screen heavily on product knowledge, sales methodology, and industry background. Many candidates enter through adjacent roles like sales engineer, account coordinator, or technical support, then move into a consultative sales position as they build expertise.
How much do technical sales consultants make in Georgia?
Technical sales consultants in Georgia earn a median of about $98,840 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,580 for the lowest 10% to over $159,760 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire technical sales consultants in Georgia?
Employers hiring technical sales consultants in Georgia right now include NCR, OneTrust, and Pariveda, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of technology firms, logistics companies, and healthcare manufacturers in the Atlanta metro means consistent demand across multiple sectors throughout the year.
Which Georgia cities have the most technical sales consultant jobs?
Atlanta, Georgia, and Alpharetta have the most technical sales consultant openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the bulk of demand as the regional hub for enterprise software, medical devices, and industrial automation headquarters, while Savannah's growing port-adjacent manufacturing base and Augusta's expanding cybersecurity and healthcare corridor generate steady openings in those markets.
Are there remote technical sales consultant jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than many roles, since technical sales work centered on virtual demos, digital prospecting, and phone-based discovery translates well to remote settings. About 67% of technical sales consultant openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, though roles requiring on-site product demonstrations or territory coverage in manufacturing and healthcare remain predominantly in-person. The most remote-friendly sub-areas are SaaS and enterprise software sales.
How can I get hired as a technical sales consultant in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales associate role at a Georgia-based technology or industrial company, where structured onboarding and mentorship are common. Large Atlanta employers in the SaaS and healthcare technology space regularly bring in new graduates through sales associate programs that pair formal product training with supervised client work. A relevant technical degree, a completed Salesforce certification, or a strong internship in a Georgia B2B environment meaningfully strengthens an application for candidates without direct sales experience.
Where can I find and apply to technical sales consultant jobs in Georgia?
