Business Development Associate Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business development associate in Georgia?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field, followed by an entry-level sales or account coordinator role at a Georgia company. Business development associates in Georgia are not required to hold a state-issued license. Employers in Atlanta's technology corridor and Savannah's logistics sector often value candidates who have completed a structured sales development program or have relevant internship experience with a Georgia-based firm.
Which companies hire business development associates in Georgia?
Employers hiring business development associates in Georgia right now include BD, CBIZ, and Block, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and fast-growing technology companies in the Atlanta metro means consistent demand across industries including fintech, supply chain, and enterprise software.
Which Georgia cities have the most business development associate jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Covington have the most business development associate openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it serves as the headquarters city for major corporations and a magnet for regional offices of national firms, while Savannah's growth reflects the expanding trade and logistics industry tied to the Port of Savannah, and Augusta draws openings connected to its defense contracting and healthcare sectors.
Are there remote business development associate jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields, since business development work is fundamentally relationship-driven and communication-based rather than tied to a physical site. About 100% of business development associate openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of much of the role. Prospecting, CRM management, and virtual client outreach are the functions most commonly performed fully remote, while in-person client meetings and onsite team collaboration still anchor many hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a business development associate in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or business development representative role, which large Georgia employers use as a pipeline into full associate positions. Companies in Atlanta's technology and fintech sector regularly hire candidates from these feeder roles. Internships with Georgia-based firms, participation in business school practicum programs at Georgia State University or the University of Georgia, and a demonstrated record of outreach or client coordination in any capacity strengthen an application considerably even without formal title experience.
Where can I find and apply to business development associate jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to business development associate jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, and beyond. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and target industry, and apply directly to each position that fits.
