Enterprise Account Executive Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a enterprise account executive in Minnesota?
Enterprise account executives in Minnesota are not required to hold a state-issued license, but employers consistently expect a bachelor's degree and several years of progressive B2B sales experience. Most candidates move into the role after building a foundation in inside sales, account management, or business development at a Minnesota-based company. Hiring managers in the Twin Cities market place particular weight on industry familiarity, especially in healthcare IT, SaaS, or financial services, which are the dominant verticals in the state.
How much do enterprise account executives make in Minnesota?
Enterprise account executives in Minnesota earn a median of about $75,370 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $40,810 for the lowest 10% to over $146,200 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire enterprise account executives in Minnesota?
Employers hiring enterprise account executives in Minnesota right now include SentinelOne, Azul, and Adzuna, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, particularly in the health and financial services sectors, means enterprise sales roles here tend to involve large contract values and complex buying committees.
Which Minnesota cities have the most enterprise account executive jobs?
Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Edina have the most enterprise account executive openings in Minnesota. Minneapolis and Saint Paul anchor the market because that is where the state's largest corporate headquarters and regional offices are based, while Rochester draws demand from the medical technology and health system sectors that are concentrated there, making each city's opportunity pool reflect the industries that dominate its local economy.
Are there remote enterprise account executive jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 71% of enterprise account executive openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how common distributed sales teams have become in technology and healthcare sectors. Roles focused on SaaS platforms and cloud solutions tend to offer the most flexibility, while positions requiring executive briefings or on-site demonstrations at client facilities are more likely to expect regular travel or a local presence.
How can I get hired as a enterprise account executive in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a business development representative or inside sales role at a Minnesota technology or healthcare company, which are the two sectors hiring most consistently in the state. Large employers like Medtronic and UnitedHealth Group run structured sales development programs that serve as pipelines into enterprise roles, and many regional SaaS companies in the Twin Cities are known for promoting from within. Building early experience on mid-market accounts and earning a Salesforce administrator credential or a relevant industry certification strengthens a candidate's case for advancement considerably.
