Regional Sales Manager Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional sales manager in Minnesota?
Most regional sales managers in Minnesota move up from individual contributor sales roles after several years of consistent territory performance. Minnesota does not require a state-issued license for general sales management, so the path runs through demonstrated results, a bachelor's degree in business or a related field, and often an internal promotion or lateral move from account executive or territory manager roles. Industries like medical devices and financial services may require FINRA registration or product-specific certifications from the relevant trade or regulatory body before assuming management responsibilities.
How much do regional sales managers make in Minnesota?
Regional sales managers in Minnesota earn a median of about $151,670 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,900 for the lowest 10% to over $258,460 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire regional sales managers in Minnesota?
Companies currently hiring regional sales managers in Minnesota include Mytech Partners, Ameriprise Financial, and Polywater Corporation, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and major healthcare and industrial manufacturers means demand is consistent across both corporate and field-based regional roles throughout the year.
Which Minnesota cities have the most regional sales manager jobs?
Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Saint Paul have the most regional sales manager openings in Minnesota. The Twin Cities drive the bulk of listings because corporate headquarters for medical device makers, financial services firms, and agribusiness giants are concentrated there, while Rochester's large healthcare employer base and Duluth's industrial and logistics sector generate steady demand in those markets as well.
Are there remote regional sales manager jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and they're more common than in many management roles, because regional sales managers often oversee distributed field teams and do not need to be in a central office daily. About 76% of regional sales manager openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with most of those roles still requiring regular in-territory travel. The fully remote positions tend to be in software, SaaS, or enterprise technology sales where the team itself is virtual.
How can I get hired as a regional sales manager in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing an individual contributor sales role first, then building toward promotion. Large Minnesota employers like Medtronic, Ecolab, and Ameriprise Financial run structured associate or rotational sales programs that develop high performers for management tracks. Starting as a territory representative, account executive, or business development representative at one of Minnesota's healthcare, agribusiness, or financial services firms gives the pipeline experience and internal visibility that most regional manager postings require before consideration.
Where can I find and apply to regional sales manager jobs in Minnesota?
You can find and apply to regional sales manager jobs in Minnesota on Migrate Mate, which lists current Minnesota openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target territory, and apply directly through each listing.
