Responsibilities
The Parker Internship Program focuses on the development of new talent by exposing interns to the dynamic and challenging field of accounting and finance in a manufacturing environment.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated accounting intern to support our finance/accounting team during the summer term. This internship offers hands-on exposure to core accounting processes, financial reporting, and day-to-day operations in a professional environment. The selected applicant will gain practical experience with real accounting workflows and month-end close, exposure to cross-functional work with operations and engineering, experience supporting capital project tracking, recurring status cadences, and documentation discipline, and have a tangible project portfolio.
- Assist with processing and recording daily customer cash payments accurately and on time.
- Support the processing of payments for internal invoices and related accounting documentation.
- Support month-end close activities, including preparing and booking journal vouchers (JVs).
- Complete assigned account reconciliations and resolve or escalate reconciling items.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to support routine departmental tasks and process improvements.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
