Financial Services Representative Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a financial services representative in Kansas?
Most financial services representative roles in Kansas require either a Kansas Department of Insurance license for insurance-focused positions or FINRA registration (Series 6, 7, or 63) for investment-related roles. Employers typically want a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or economics, though some entry roles accept equivalent experience. After hiring, new representatives often complete pre-licensing coursework, pass the relevant exam, and register with the Kansas Insurance Department or FINRA before handling client accounts independently.
Which companies hire financial services representatives in Kansas?
Kansas financial services representative roles are posted by Wealthbridge Financial, datamap, and Bank of America and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas's strong community banking sector and several large insurance headquarters mean openings appear consistently across both national firms and locally rooted institutions throughout the state.
Which Kansas cities have the most financial services representative jobs?
Overland Park, Wichita, and Leawood are the Kansas cities with the most financial services representative openings. Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro drive the largest share of postings because of the dense concentration of regional bank headquarters, insurance companies, and wealth management firms located there, while Wichita adds consistent volume through its independent community banks and insurance offices serving south-central Kansas.
Are there remote financial services representative jobs in Kansas?
Yes, though they are less common than in purely analytical fields because many financial services representative roles involve in-person client meetings and compliance oversight. About 89% of financial services representative openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so options exist but are not the norm. The parts of the role most likely to be remote include outbound phone sales, insurance quoting, and virtual financial planning consultations.
How can I get hired as a financial services representative in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a personal banker or customer service associate role at a Kansas community bank or credit union, where licensing support is often provided on the job. Capitol Federal Savings, Emprise Bank, and Azura Credit Union are among the Kansas institutions that hire and train candidates without prior financial industry experience. Completing a Kansas Insurance Department pre-licensing course and passing the relevant exam before applying gives candidates a meaningful edge, and associate-level retail banking positions frequently serve as the direct bridge into full financial services representative duties.
Where can I find and apply to financial services representative jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate lists current financial services representative openings in Kansas, updated regularly so you see roles that are actively hiring. Search for positions that match your experience level, location preference, and specialty area, then apply directly to the ones that fit your background.
