General Summary of Duties: Checking patients in and out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting copays and balances
Supervision Received: Reports directly to Front Desk Manager
Supervision Exercised: None
Typical Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting, walking, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires excellent communication skills and a keen understanding of patients with sensory impairment. Must be able to express a caring attitude while performing the tasks required with accuracy and efficiency. Requires normal range of hearing and eye sight to perform necessary testing and reporting of findings.
Duties:
- Schedule appointments
- Check Patients In: Get insurance information, have patients fill out appropriate paperwork, and get patient demographics
- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service
- Learn and maintain excellent customer service
- Collect any copays or other amounts owed by patients
- Post patient payments to their accounts
- Checking patients out and making follow up appointments as needed
- Keeping the waiting rooms and front desk area cleaned and organized
- Greeting each patient as they come in to the practice
- Balance payments at the end of each day
- Performs other duties as assigned by Administrator or Front Desk Manager
- Attends meetings as required by Administrator
- Abides by the policies and procedures of the clinic as outlined in the Personnel manual
- OSHA/Handwashing
Performance Requirements: Knowledge of HIPAA. Excellent communication skills. Willingness to be TEAM oriented and cheerfully help wherever assigned.

- High school diploma or GED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
