Growth Marketing Lead Jobs in Illinois: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a growth marketing lead in Illinois?
Growth marketing lead roles in Illinois require no state-issued license, so the path runs through education and demonstrated experience. Most Illinois employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a quantitative field, followed by progressive roles in digital marketing or growth functions. Building fluency in marketing automation, analytics, and experimentation tools is essential. Chicago's large SaaS and fintech employer base means candidates who show measurable pipeline or retention impact move into lead roles faster than those with credentials alone.
How much do growth marketing leads make in Illinois?
Growth marketing leads in Illinois earn a median of about $162,860 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $95,990 for the lowest 10% to over $276,340 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire growth marketing leads in Illinois?
Employers hiring growth marketing leads in Illinois right now include ZS Associates, Grant Thornton, and Aon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Illinois's concentration of SaaS platforms, financial services firms, and mid-market B2B companies means demand for growth marketing talent stays relatively consistent throughout the year.
Which Illinois cities have the most growth marketing lead jobs?
Chicago, Illinois, and Niles have the most growth marketing lead openings in Illinois. Chicago drives the overwhelming majority of demand, anchored by its dense cluster of technology companies, fintech startups, and Fortune 500 headquarters, while Naperville and Schaumburg contribute openings from the large enterprise and professional services employers based in Chicago's western suburbs.
Are there remote growth marketing lead jobs in Illinois?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 92% of growth marketing lead openings tied to Illinois are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the role translates to distributed work. Strategy, campaign management, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration all transfer well to remote settings, making growth marketing one of the more flexible marketing disciplines for candidates outside Chicago's core.
How can I get hired as a growth marketing lead in Illinois with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a junior growth, demand generation, or marketing operations role at a Chicago-area SaaS or e-commerce company, where cross-functional exposure accelerates development. Large Illinois employers including Salesforce and Morningstar periodically run associate marketing programs suited to recent graduates. Candidates who build a portfolio demonstrating A/B test design, funnel analysis, or email automation campaigns gain a clear edge, as do those earning platform certifications from HubSpot or Google that signal hands-on tool fluency.
Where can I find and apply to growth marketing lead jobs in Illinois?
You can find and apply to growth marketing lead jobs in Illinois on Migrate Mate, which lists current Illinois openings in one place. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to each employer.
