The Role
As ThoughtSpot's customer base continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team. The right candidate for this position will have a demonstrated history of leading and managing customers and proven success in selling software & services, preferably in the Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or Analytics space. Ideally, you have experience leveraging data and AI-driven insights to drive customer growth and retention.
The ability to work independently in a rapidly growing environment is important. We also value the ability to evangelize an evolving, AI-powered product that provides real value to (both!) technical and non-technical audiences. A value-based sales approach and “first on the ground” experience is a major advantage.
What You'll Do:
- The Account Manager will develop and manage a territory of enterprise & major customer accounts, with a primary focus on account growth and retention. You will lead the charge to drive growth and expansion for designated customers, leveraging a consultative, data-driven approach.
- Manage complex account lifecycles, owning renewals and expansions while driving a “land-and-expand” strategy
- Act as a consultative thought partner to customers, aligning ThoughtSpot’s AI-driven analytics capabilities to business goals and measurable outcomes
- Leverage generative AI and advanced automation to personalize customer engagements at scale, dynamically tailoring outreach, enablement, and account strategies
- Harness AI-driven insights to identify expansion opportunities, adoption gaps, and potential risks across your portfolio
- Utilize advanced analytics to inform account planning, forecast growth, and develop differentiated value propositions for each customer
- Partner closely with Solution Consultants, Professional Services, Adoption, Product, and Leadership teams to execute coordinated, data-informed account strategies
- Maintain strategic oversight of assigned accounts, ensuring engagements achieve intended business outcomes and ROI
- Deliver impactful business reviews and enablement sessions, using data and AI insights to tell a compelling value story
- Continuously refine engagement strategies by leveraging AI-powered analytics on customer usage, engagement trends, and success metrics
- Experiment with emerging technologies (e.g., conversational AI, predictive analytics, autonomous agents) to enhance customer engagement and scale impact
What You Bring:
- Proven track record of expanding relationships and driving revenue growth within complex enterprise accounts
- Experience handling and closing negotiations at scale with rapid pace, particularly across renewals and expansions
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, or advanced analytics to drive customer engagement, retention, and growth strategies
- Track record of driving measurable results through data-driven and AI-informed account management approaches
- Strong consultative mindset with the ability to map customer needs to strategic, outcome-based solutions
- Experience managing stakeholders across technical, business, and executive levels
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted, long-term relationships
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and drive mutual, data-backed account plans
- Passion for helping customers solve problems with technology, particularly through modern data and AI platforms
- Strong business acumen, curiosity, and desire to continuously learn—especially within evolving AI and analytics landscapes
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability for delivering outcomes
- Advanced technical aptitude and ability to deeply understand analytics platforms, AI-driven solutions, and modern data ecosystems
The estimated annual base salary range for this role is $100k – $145k in most U.S. locations.
Actual compensation may vary and will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and location of the selected candidate.
Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits.

- Comfortably and confidently integrate artificial intelligence into their daily workflow to increase productivity and quality.
- Hands-on experience to leverage AI tools (industry-leading LLMs) to increase productivity, automate routine tasks, and improve work quality.
- Speak to the experience of using AI for research, content creation, and document summarization while maintaining ownership of judgment and final decisions.
- Write effective prompts to get the most accurate and creative results from AI tools.

- Adaptability to quickly learn and implement new, emerging AI technologies
