Holiday Inn Express & Suites – Elizabethtown, KY is looking for dependable, friendly Guest Service Representatives to join our Front Desk team.

Schedule- We are currently hiring for all Front Desk shifts:

• A Shift: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• B Shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
• Night Audit: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM

Both full-time and part-time opportunities may be available depending on availability and scheduling needs.

Weekend and holiday availability is required. Applicants should also be available to train on different shifts as needed during the training period.

Because our hotel sells alcohol, applicants for this position must be at least 20 years and 1 day old in order to meet seller requirements.

What You'll Do - Our Front Desk team is often the first and last impression our guests have of the hotel. We’re looking for team members who are welcoming, dependable, professional, and able to provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities Include

• Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner
• Check guests in and out efficiently
• Recognize IHG One Rewards members and returning guests
• Verify identification and payment information at check-in
• Answer phones and assist with guest questions, requests and concerns
• Make, modify and cancel reservations
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately
• Provide information regarding hotel services, amenities and the local area
• Resolve guest concerns and involve management when additional assistance is needed
• Communicate important information to the next shift and other departments
• Respond to guest requests and follow through to ensure completion
• Monitor the hotel and immediately report safety, security or suspicious activity
• Maintain a clean, organized and professional Front Desk area
• Follow all hotel, IHG and company policies and procedures
• Complete additional Front Desk duties as assigned

Employees scheduled for Night Audit will also:

• Complete required overnight Night Audit procedures and reports
• Verify transactions and daily hotel activity for accuracy
• Balance and close the business day
• Prepare reports and systems for the next business day
• Assist with overnight and early-morning guest needs

What We're Looking For- We’re looking for someone who:

• Is dependable and punctual
• Provides friendly and professional guest service
• Has strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Can remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns
• Is comfortable working with computers and learning hotel software
• Can accurately handle cash and credit card transactions
• Communicates clearly through written shift notes and logs
• Works well with others and communicates effectively with other departments
• Can work independently when necessary
• Is available to work mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and/or holidays based on the position hired for

Hotel or Front Desk experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.

Physical Requirements - This position may require:

• Standing for extended periods
• Walking throughout the hotel
• Using computers and other Front Desk equipment
• Handling and moving items weighing up to approximately 50 pounds when necessary
