LEAD A SUCCESSFUL HOTEL OPERATION
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Quality Inn in South Hill, VA. This is an opportunity for a thoughtful leader and confident decision-maker who can build a strong team, drive operational and financial performance, and help the hotel continue to grow and thrive.
General Manager experience is preferred, but an Assistant General Manager ready to take the next step will also be considered. Brand experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Salary commensurate with experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Hotel Operations & Strategy
- Oversee the hotel's day-to-day operations and ensure a smooth, efficient guest experience.
- Develop operating strategies and set goals for growth.
- Establish and maintain effective policies, procedures, and processes.
- Evaluate operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify operational issues and provide effective solutions.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and develop a productive and accountable team.
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
- Ensure employees have the tools, direction, and support needed to be successful.
- Lead the employee performance assessment process.
Financial & Performance Management
- Manage hotel operations within the established budget and work to meet or exceed financial goals.
- Monitor operational and financial performance and identify opportunities to improve results.
- Prepare regular operational and financial reports.
Compliance & Brand Standards
- Ensure staff follows all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Ensure all brand standards are consistently followed.
- Maintain a professional and well-organized hotel operation.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hotel or hospitality experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. General Manager experience preferred; an Assistant General Manager ready for the next step will also be considered.
- Knowledge of business processes and functions, including finance, HR, procurement, and hotel operations.
- Strong analytical ability and financial awareness.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to make sound decisions and effectively manage competing priorities.
- Brand experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.
