Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Learning Specialist for the Office for Development and Academic Success in the Sciences (ODASIS). ODASIS is a Rutgers University campuswide academic support program dedicated to supporting students to excel in science and mathematics courses, leading to professional healthcare careers and health-related graduate programs.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Provides learning assistance to students within the Office for Development and Academic Success in the Sciences (ODASIS).
- Supports students through one-on-one personalized student academic plans, career advising, and mentoring.
- Develops programs and strategies to improve recruitment, retention, and graduation rates.
- Hires, trains and supervises peer Supplemental Instructors for the weekly academic support sessions and mandatory study halls to help students build the skills needed to succeed in the sciences.
