Essential Elements:
The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a central role in the development and execution of integrated marketing and brand communication initiatives across Biltmore Farms' portfolio of businesses and properties. This position serves as a key connector between brand strategy, content development, creative production, tenant and partner communication, and campaign execution.
Working within the Corporate Marketing, Branding & Communications team, this role is responsible for helping bring campaigns and brand stories to life across multiple channels and touchpoints. The Marketing Communications Specialist will serve as a central hub for content flow and campaign execution, helping drive projects forward across teams while coordinating creative workflows, supporting brand storytelling initiatives, and ensuring marketing efforts are implemented consistently across business units.
This role requires a highly collaborative and organized marketing professional with strong writing and editorial instincts, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple campaigns, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
Please note that this position is based in-office with occasional remote opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Helps drive the planning, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across Biltmore Farms business units.
- Collaborates with the Marketing & Product Manager and internal stakeholders to develop campaign messaging, communication strategies, and storytelling initiatives aligned with brand goals.
- Champions content development efforts across multiple platforms, including websites, email marketing, blogs, advertising campaigns, sales collateral, video content, and branded communications.
- Maintains relationships with external creative partners including photographers, videographers, graphic designers, writers, agencies, and production vendors.
- Coordinates and oversees photoshoots and video shoots, including shot lists, schedules, creative direction support, logistics, asset organization, and production timelines.
- Partners closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist to align campaign content, digital strategy, website implementation, paid media initiatives, and performance objectives.
- Supports tenant relations and communications efforts for Biltmore Park Town Square, including onboarding support, marketing coordination, grand opening communications, and collaborative promotional opportunities.
- Assists with larger strategic marketing initiatives, launches, and cross-functional projects from concept through execution.
- Manages timelines, workflows, approvals, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects while ensuring quality and consistency.
- Contributes ideas and recommendations that strengthen brand storytelling, audience engagement, and overall marketing effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Operations, Project Management, Journalism, or a related field; AND,
- Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in marketing communications, brand marketing, content strategy, or a related field.
- Experience leading and coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong writing, editing, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
- Experience managing creative projects and campaigns.
- Experience working with external agencies, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, writers, and other creative vendors.
- Experience in hospitality, real estate, lifestyle, retail, or community-focused brands preferred.
- Familiarity with content management systems, email marketing platforms, project management tools, and creative platforms.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools and emerging technologies to support content development and marketing workflows.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional writing, proofreading, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Natural ability to identify content opportunities and develop ideas.
- Ability to support experiential marketing initiatives, events, and branded activations from planning through execution.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to multitask with minimal oversight.
- Ability to oversee projects from concept to completion while integrating multiple stakeholders.
- Must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and WordPress. Asana and content platforms are a plus.
- Possess professional communication skills for interacting with a variety of agencies, colleagues, leadership team, partners, and clients.
- Ability to understand intended audiences, brand voices, and messaging, and to deliver appropriate direction/feedback to agencies and vendors.
