JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for performing specific technical duties that support the larger corporate Marketing Services goals. A Marcom Specialist may perform a small set of specific roles, a large group of wide-ranging general duties, or a combination of both, depending on business needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
- Assist in the project management for the department, and provide support to numerous initiatives
- Support the tradeshows and event implementation and coordination, time management, task management, tracking and reporting, and logistics fulfillment
- Assist in managing Marcom inventory and sourcing
- Develop, implement, and measure the results of marketing communications activities, projects, and events on an international scale
- Identify the goal of the customer (often an internal customer, such as a Product Line Manager) regarding outcome and timing, and work to meet or exceed that goal
- Identify deadlines and manage workload accordingly, including prioritizing tasks, coordinating and communicating activities with the Marcom team and clients
- Produce effective communications that achieve each project’s goal and are timely, well-considered, well-informed, and well-delivered
- Understand digital marketing and support the growing digital marketing needs
- Stay abreast of evolving media technologies and practices, and identify and acquire new skills required to leverage developments in technology
- Demonstrate team player attitude and approach with internal and external customers, across cultures, regions, and countries
- Attend training and meetings as needed or assigned
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, new media, marketing, or other related fields
- 1 year of marketing communications or related marketing experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Excellent command of the English language is required
- Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented, must be able to manage many tasks at the same time. Experience with project management tools is preferred
- Ability to juggle among tasks and projects and prioritize with the help of the manager. Can thrive in a high-pressure, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities

- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make basic decisions regarding routine tasks
- Good thinker, and not afraid of asking questions, and welcomes feedback
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Excellent personal computer skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
- InDesign and Photoshop/Illustrator are a bonus
- Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

On-site position / Monday-Friday / 8:00 am-5:00 pm / 301 Woods Park Drive, New Hartford, NY

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.
