Marketing Manager Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing manager in Oregon?
Marketing managers in Oregon are not required to hold a state-issued license or sit for a state exam. The typical path is a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business administration followed by several years in specialist or coordinator roles such as digital marketing analyst, content strategist, or brand coordinator. Oregon employers increasingly favor candidates who combine that experience with demonstrable analytics or campaign management competency, which professional certifications from bodies like the American Marketing Association can support.
How much do marketing managers make in Oregon?
Marketing managers in Oregon earn a median of about $161,560 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $93,220 for the lowest 10% to over $280,020 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing managers in Oregon?
Companies currently hiring marketing managers in Oregon include Columbia Sportswear, PARR, and MaxBP, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Oregon's concentration of global consumer brands, technology firms, and healthcare systems means marketing manager roles appear across a wide range of industries and company sizes throughout the state.
Which Oregon cities have the most marketing manager jobs?
Portland, Oregon, and Eugene account for the largest share of marketing manager openings in Oregon. Portland drives the majority of listings given its density of corporate headquarters and regional offices in tech, apparel, and healthcare, while Eugene and Bend contribute openings tied to the University of Oregon's research and licensing operations and the outdoor and lifestyle brand ecosystem that has grown around central Oregon.
Are there remote marketing manager jobs in Oregon?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 84% of marketing manager openings tied to Oregon are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how thoroughly this role moved to distributed work after the pandemic. Strategy, content, digital advertising, and analytics functions are the most consistently remote, while roles requiring regular in-person collaboration with creative or product teams tend to be hybrid rather than fully remote.
How can I get hired as a marketing manager in Oregon with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a coordinator or specialist role at an Oregon employer and building toward management from within. Nike, Intel, and Providence Health all run structured early-career programs that place new graduates into marketing functions. Adjacent roles such as marketing coordinator, content specialist, and social media analyst are the most common stepping stones. A portfolio demonstrating campaign ownership, even from internships or independent projects, gives candidates a measurable edge over those relying on education credentials alone.
Where can I find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Oregon?
You can find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Oregon on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oregon openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly without creating a profile or signing up.
