Marketing Manager Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing manager in Utah?
The most direct path in Utah is a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business, followed by several years in a specialist or coordinator role at one of the state's many tech, retail, or outdoor-industry employers. Marketing management in Utah carries no state-issued license or board exam. Hiring managers at Wasatch Front tech firms typically prioritize a documented campaign history, proficiency with analytics platforms, and experience managing at least a small team or agency relationship.
How much do marketing managers make in Utah?
Marketing managers in Utah earn a median of about $139,830 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,400 for the lowest 10% to over $229,240 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing managers in Utah?
Employers hiring marketing managers in Utah right now include Cricut, BambooHR, and RainFocus, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Utah's blend of enterprise software companies, consumer-facing outdoor brands, and large health systems means openings appear across a wider range of industries than most comparably sized states.
Which Utah cities have the most marketing manager jobs?
Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Orem account for the largest share of marketing manager openings in Utah. Salt Lake City drives most of the volume as the state's corporate and agency headquarters hub, while Provo benefits from the dense cluster of software and edtech companies anchored by Brigham Young University and the Silicon Slopes corridor, and St. George reflects growth from expanding retail and regional health employer bases in the southwest corner of the state.
Are there remote marketing manager jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 74% of marketing manager openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and digital nature of most marketing work. Strategy, content, and demand-generation roles tend to attract the most fully remote postings, while brand management and field marketing roles tied to Utah's outdoor and retail sectors more often require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a marketing manager in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a marketing coordinator or specialist role at one of the many Silicon Slopes software companies, which frequently hire new graduates into structured associate programs and promote internally. Lateral moves from sales operations, customer success, or content creation are common. Building a portfolio through freelance work for Utah small businesses or nonprofit organizations strengthens an application considerably. A Google Analytics certification or HubSpot credential signals practical readiness when a formal work history in marketing is limited.
Where can I find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings. Search the roles available, find the ones that match your background and preferences, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
