At Medi-Weightloss Princeton, we believe lasting transformation happens through compassionate care, evidence-based medicine, personalized wellness, education, accountability, and encouragement. We don't simply help patients lose weight—we help them improve their health, regain confidence, and build sustainable habits for life.
We’re looking for an exceptional Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who wants to build something meaningful from the ground up. This is an opportunity to join a new clinic where you'll serve as the lead provider, mentor a talented clinical team, and help shape an outstanding patient experience from day one.
If you're passionate about nutrition, preventive medicine, lifestyle change, and developing meaningful relationships with patients, we'd love to meet you.

This Role is NOT for you if:
- You enjoy treating conditions but not coaching lifestyle change.

Nurse Practitioner Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a nurse practitioner in New Jersey?
You must obtain an Advanced Practice Nurse license through the New Jersey Board of Nursing, which requires completing an accredited master's or doctoral nurse practitioner program and passing a national certification exam through ANCC or AANP. New Jersey also requires a separate controlled dangerous substance registration to prescribe medications. Applicants with an out-of-state APN license may apply for endorsement rather than sitting a new exam.
How much do nurse practitioners make in New Jersey?
Nurse practitioners in New Jersey earn a median of about $159,310 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $122,390 for the lowest 10% to over $183,420 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire nurse practitioners in New Jersey?
Employers hiring nurse practitioners in New Jersey right now include TeamHealth, Carbon Health, and TEEMA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New Jersey's large integrated health systems, federally qualified health centers, and outpatient specialty groups account for the majority of consistent openings across the state.
Which New Jersey cities have the most nurse practitioner jobs?
New Jersey, Camden, and Paramus have the most nurse practitioner openings in New Jersey. Newark anchors demand through its dense concentration of academic medical centers and Level I trauma facilities, while Camden benefits from major health system campuses serving South Jersey, and the Jersey City area draws openings from both hospital networks and telehealth-enabled outpatient groups tied to the New York metro.
Are there remote nurse practitioner jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, but they're rare. About 36% of nurse practitioner openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the hands-on clinical nature of most NP roles. The positions most likely to offer remote or telehealth components are in psychiatric-mental health and chronic disease management, where virtual visits are a recognized standard of care.
How can I get hired as a nurse practitioner in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to the new-graduate NP residency or fellowship programs that RWJBarnabas Health and Hackensack Meridian Health run for clinicians transitioning from RN roles. Community health centers and federally qualified health centers across Newark and Trenton are also known for hiring new graduates in family practice roles. Completing your New Jersey APN license and prescriptive authority registration before applying gives you a clear advantage over candidates still waiting on credentials.
Where can I find and apply to nurse practitioner jobs in New Jersey?
You can find and apply to nurse practitioner jobs in New Jersey on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings in the state. Find a role that fits and apply directly from the listing.
