Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer focused operations associate to support the daily operations of our boat charter, Turo vehicles and MOKE /golfcart rental business.
The operations associate will work daily with ownership in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a multi-service rental business that includes boat charters, Turo vehicle rentals, and Moke rentals. This role ensures delivery of exceptional customer experiences, maximizes fleet utilization and profitability, maintains safety and compliance standards and manages maintenance and vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management
Oversee the operation and readiness of all boats, Turo vehicles, and Mokes.
Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, cleaning, inspections, and detailing.
Monitor fleet performance, availability, utilization rates, and downtime.
Ensure all registrations, licenses, permits, insurance policies, and compliance requirements remain current.
Customer Experience
Manage the reservation, check-in, and check-out processes.
Resolve customer concerns, complaints, and service issues promptly.
Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings across platforms including Turo, Google, TripAdvisor, and direct bookings.
Work hand in hand with AIR BNB hosts to ensure guest satisfaction
Develop and implement customer service standards and procedures.
Booking & Revenue Management
Monitor booking calendars and maximize rental utilization.
Adjust pricing strategies based on demand, seasonality, and competition.
Coordinate online booking platforms and direct reservation channels.
Track key business metrics and prepare operational reports.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to Coast Guard regulations, boating safety standards, local transportation regulations and Turo marketplace requirements.
Maintain incident and accident reporting procedures.
Conduct safety trainings and enforce company policies.
Implement risk management and loss prevention practices.
Marketing Support
Assist with promotions, partnerships and local tourism relationships.
Monitor online reviews and reputation management.
Collaborate with marketing efforts to increase bookings and repeat business
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable using smartphones, reservation software, and basic business applications.
- Must pass background check and drug screening (no hard drugs).
Preferred
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, transportation, rentals, boating, or customer service.
- Boating knowledge or experience operating boats.
- Experience with Turo or vehicle rental platforms.
- Sales or upselling experience.
- Basic mechanical or maintenance skills.
Employees who demonstrate leadership, accountability and strong performance will have opportunities to advance into an Operations Manager role within 12-24 months.
Total comp $50k+ to start, depending on experience - potential for additional income and bonuses for the right fit. Looking for someone not afraid of the grind!
