Outside Sales Manager Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a outside sales manager in Oklahoma?
The most direct path is to build several years of outside sales experience in one of Oklahoma's dominant industries, such as energy services, agricultural supply, or industrial distribution, then move into a team lead or senior rep role before stepping into management. Oklahoma does not require a state-issued license for outside sales managers. Employers across Oklahoma City and Tulsa typically promote from within, so demonstrating consistent territory growth and mentoring junior reps is the most reliable route to a management title.
How much do outside sales managers make in Oklahoma?
Outside sales managers in Oklahoma earn a median of about $128,920 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $63,070 for the lowest 10% to over $275,440 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire outside sales managers in Oklahoma?
Companies currently hiring outside sales managers in Oklahoma include Andrew Meier, SumUp, and Spectrum, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Oklahoma's energy corridor and agricultural heartland mean that industrial suppliers, oilfield services firms, and regional distributors based in the state are among the most consistent sources of openings.
Which Oklahoma cities have the most outside sales manager jobs?
Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Oklahoma have the most outside sales manager openings in Oklahoma. Oklahoma City drives volume through its concentration of corporate headquarters, energy companies, and healthcare distributors, while Tulsa's manufacturing and industrial base supports strong demand for managers who can run field teams across the northeastern part of the state, and smaller metros reflect the regional distribution networks tied to those anchor industries.
Are there remote outside sales manager jobs in Oklahoma?
Yes, but they're rare. Outside sales managers are defined by in-person client relationships and field team oversight, which limits remote options by the nature of the role. About 58% of outside sales manager openings tied to Oklahoma are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions typically involve remote administrative duties such as pipeline reporting or virtual coaching while still requiring regular in-state travel.
How can I get hired as a outside sales manager in Oklahoma with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is to start as an outside sales representative at a mid-size Oklahoma employer in energy, agricultural equipment, or industrial distribution, where promotion cycles into management tend to be faster than at national corporations. Companies like regional oilfield supply firms and agricultural co-ops across central and western Oklahoma often develop sales talent internally. Earning a Certified Sales Professional credential and building measurable territory results over two to three years positions a candidate well for a first management role.
Where can I find and apply to outside sales manager jobs in Oklahoma?
You can find and apply to outside sales manager jobs in Oklahoma on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oklahoma openings. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your experience and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that match.
