Outside Sales Manager Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a outside sales manager in Arkansas?
Most Arkansas employers hire outside sales managers from candidates who have worked their way up through territory sales representative or account executive roles in the same industry. A bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, or marketing is the most common educational baseline. Arkansas does not require a state-issued license specifically for outside sales management, but roles in certain industries like insurance distribution or pharmaceuticals require Arkansas-specific licensure through the Arkansas Insurance Department or equivalent body.
How much do outside sales managers make in Arkansas?
Outside sales managers in Arkansas earn a median of about $108,330 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $53,860 for the lowest 10% to over $245,640 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire outside sales managers in Arkansas?
Employers hiring outside sales managers in Arkansas right now include Andrew Meier, Hibu, and Cleft of the Rock, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arkansas's concentration of food production, agricultural supply, and regional distribution companies means outside sales leadership roles tend to stay open year-round across the state.
Which Arkansas cities have the most outside sales manager jobs?
Little Rock, Jonesboro, and Springdale have the most outside sales manager openings in Arkansas. Little Rock generates the highest volume as the state capital and home to corporate headquarters in healthcare, retail, and financial services, while Fayetteville benefits from the University of Arkansas presence and the dense cluster of consumer goods and retail supply chain companies headquartered in northwest Arkansas, and Fort Smith draws openings from its manufacturing and logistics corridor.
Are there remote outside sales manager jobs in Arkansas?
Yes, but they're rare. Outside sales management is inherently field-based, requiring regular in-person visits to prospects, clients, and retail or distribution accounts across a territory. About 53% of outside sales manager openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions are most often in software, technology services, or national account roles where client visits are periodic rather than daily.
How can I get hired as a outside sales manager in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a territory sales representative role first, then advancing into management after demonstrating consistent quota attainment. Large Arkansas-based distributors and agricultural suppliers regularly hire entry-level sales associates who rotate through structured onboarding programs before taking on territory ownership. Building familiarity with Arkansas's agriculture and food processing industries, earning a relevant industry certification, and shadowing experienced reps at regional companies are the steps that move candidates into outside sales management fastest.
Where can I find and apply to outside sales manager jobs in Arkansas?
You can find and apply to outside sales manager jobs in Arkansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arkansas openings updated regularly. Find roles that fit your experience and territory preference and apply directly to the employers posting them.
