Outside Sales Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a outside sales manager in Florida?
Most outside sales managers in Florida advance from individual contributor sales roles after demonstrating consistent quota achievement and leadership potential. Florida does not require a state-issued license specifically for outside sales management, so the typical path involves earning a bachelor's degree in business or a related field, building several years of outside sales experience in a Florida industry such as healthcare, technology, or logistics, and then pursuing internal promotion or applying to posted management openings at companies with Florida operations.
How much do outside sales managers make in Florida?
Outside sales managers in Florida earn a median of about $131,900 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,650 for the lowest 10% to over $263,160 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire outside sales managers in Florida?
Employers hiring outside sales managers in Florida right now include JA Edwards of America, Spectrum, and Hibu, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Florida's concentration of large distribution, healthcare, and technology companies means demand for field sales leadership remains consistent across the Tampa Bay, Miami, and Orlando corridors year-round.
Which Florida cities have the most outside sales manager jobs?
Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville have the most outside sales manager openings in Florida. Miami's role as a hub for Latin American trade and Fortune 500 regional headquarters drives strong demand, Tampa's growing technology and financial services sectors anchor central Florida hiring, and Orlando's convention, hospitality, and healthcare industries generate consistent field sales leadership needs across the metro.
Are there remote outside sales manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're rare. Outside sales management is by nature a field-based role requiring in-person client visits, team ride-alongs, and territory oversight, so fully remote positions represent a small share of the market. About 39% of outside sales manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with the remote component most common in account planning, reporting, and internal coaching responsibilities rather than frontline field activity.
How can I get hired as a outside sales manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing an outside sales representative role first and building a record of quota achievement before moving into management. Large Florida-based employers such as Sysco, AdventHealth's vendor partners, and regional technology distributors regularly hire entry-level territory representatives and promote internally into team lead and manager roles. Earning a Certified Professional Sales Person credential or completing a sales leadership certificate through a Florida state university can strengthen an application alongside demonstrated revenue results from any sales role.
Where can I find and apply to outside sales manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to outside sales manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state. Search the available roles, find the positions that fit your experience and target territory, and apply directly to the ones that match.
