Job Summary
Illinois Orthopedic Nertwork is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Your expertise will support diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients’ health needs, ensuring compassionate and efficient care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients through interviews, physical exams and review of medical history
- Prescribe medications and coordinate referrals to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and specialty services
- Perform procedures such as suturing, injection administration and wound & infection management
- Interpret diagnostic tests including radiology reports, laboratory results, and diagnostic evaluations to inform clinical decisions.
- Educate and counsel patients on treatment plans, recovery, pain management and wellness
- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner), ensuring data collection integrity for research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate surgical candidates and manage pre-operative and post-operative care
- Serve as first or second assist in the operating room, supporting the attending surgeon in safe, efficient execution of procedures
- Assist in discharge planning and follow-up to optimize patient recovery pathways.
- Conduct scheduled virtual visits for follow-ups, medication management, care coordination and ongoing monitoring.
- Triage patient concerns remotely and escalate to in-person evaluation when needed.
- Stay current on federal, state, and professional requirements and keep your clinical knowledge current through CME and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Current NCCPA certification
- Active Kansas PA License through the Kansas State Board
- Active DEA registration
- Current BLS certification and ACLS certification
Pay: $108,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
