A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or finance is the standard starting point for procurement analyst roles in Indiana. No state-issued license is required, but Indiana employers consistently favor candidates who hold or are pursuing the Certified Professional in Supply Management designation through the Institute for Supply Management. Building experience in purchasing, vendor coordination, or contract administration at an Indiana manufacturer, health system, or government agency accelerates hiring into analyst roles.
Which companies hire procurement analysts in Indiana?
Indiana procurement analyst roles are posted by Deloitte, SUBARU OF INDIANA AUTOMOTIVE, and Amcor and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Indiana's mix of large manufacturers, integrated health systems, and state government agencies means procurement demand is consistent across multiple sectors rather than tied to a single industry.
Which Indiana cities have the most procurement analyst jobs?
Lafayette, Indianapolis, and Indiana have the most procurement analyst openings in Indiana. Indianapolis dominates because it anchors the state's corporate headquarters, major health systems, and state government procurement offices, while Fort Wayne and South Bend draw openings from their manufacturing and regional healthcare employers.
Are there remote procurement analyst jobs in Indiana?
Yes, and more than many fields, since procurement analysis is primarily desk-based work involving data, contracts, and vendor communication. About 33% of procurement analyst openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the role's suitability for distributed teams. Strategic sourcing, spend analysis, and contract review tasks are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely.
