WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
This position will ensure achievement of strategic, business, and financial objectives for the newly established Weatherproofing product portfolio, including Housewrap, Flashing Tapes, and Sealants. Lead end-to-end product management by developing and optimizing a competitive portfolio that strengthens the CertainTeed Siding Resilience System. This role is responsible for identifying end-user and channel partner needs and translating them into innovative, differentiated products and services, including “industry-first” solutions. Through Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights, competitive benchmarking, and close collaboration with New Product Development (NPD), the Central Resilience team, and Saint-Gobain’s global network, drive the development of product line extensions and next-generation offerings. Play a critical role in defining pricing strategy and driving the sales and marketing performance of both CertainTeed and Private Label product portfolios across assigned segments. Establish volume and market share targets by product line and region, monitor performance, and adjust strategies to achieve business objectives. Provide cross-functional leadership and direction to Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, NPD, Customer Service, Finance, and Marketing to ensure effective execution of plans and programs. Partner closely with the Vice President of Product Management to advance strategic initiatives, including evaluating acquisition opportunities, leveraging third-party manufacturing partnerships, and supporting internal product development aligned with new business growth. Maintain full accountability for overall product line profitability, including managing existing portfolios and tracking the performance of new product launches. Operate with a high degree of independence and entrepreneurial mindset to balance long-term strategic vision with near-term profitability and risk optimization.
Key Responsibilities:

Full product management responsibility for all Weatherproofing product lines

Leads product planning and definition to ensure the product delivers value to target customers, achieves portfolio objectives, brand positioning and channel segmentation/differentiation goals. Directs cross functional product management teams to own and manage the product throughout all stages of life cycle (conception, definition, development, launch and post-launch activities, maturity and transition). Directs team to work with NPD project managers to successfully develop and launch new products and line extensions in alignment with product strategic and operating plans

Collaborates with Marketing managers to develop strategies and tactics for successful marketing of products, including new product launches and repositioning of current products

Directs Product Marketing resources in the design/content of training materials (for customers and CertainTeed sales people) to support the product line.
This position will have tactical and strategic responsibility for growing sales and profitability of the new Weatherproofing line of business through effective product line management, as well as proactive and timely delivery of new product development objectives
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Scientific, Marketing, Business or similar Required; MBA preferred
5-7 years of relevant experience in product management, marketing, or related function-Required
5 plus years of relevant experience in building materials, consumer durables, or related industry - Preferred
