Product Marketing Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product marketing manager in Texas?
The typical path starts with a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, followed by experience in a marketing, product, or sales role. Texas has no state-issued license or registration required for product marketing managers. Most Texas employers expect candidates to build a portfolio demonstrating go-to-market work, messaging, or launch campaigns, and industry certifications from organizations like the Product Marketing Alliance can strengthen an application in competitive Austin and Dallas markets.
How much do product marketing managers make in Texas?
Product marketing managers in Texas earn a median of about $147,880 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $81,820 for the lowest 10% to over $259,200 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire product marketing managers in Texas?
Employers hiring product marketing managers in Texas right now include DoorDash, Abbott, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of enterprise technology companies, semiconductor manufacturers, and fast-growing SaaS firms means product marketing roles here tend to focus on technical product positioning and B2B audiences.
Which Texas cities have the most product marketing manager jobs?
Austin, Houston, and Irving lead Texas for product marketing manager openings. Austin's density of SaaS and enterprise software companies drives the highest volume, Dallas draws demand from corporate headquarters in financial services and technology, and Houston's energy-tech and healthcare IT sectors support a steady share of roles across the metro.
Are there remote product marketing manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 24% of product marketing manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based, collaborative nature of the role. The tasks most commonly done remotely include content development, competitive research, and campaign planning, while in-person presence is most often expected for product launches and sales kickoffs.
How can I get hired as a product marketing manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a related role such as content marketing, sales development, or product management associate. Large Texas technology employers including Dell, Oracle, and NXP Semiconductors run structured rotational and new-grad marketing programs that place candidates without direct product marketing experience. Building a portfolio of positioning documents, launch plans, or competitive analyses, and earning a Product Marketing Alliance certification, gives Texas candidates a concrete edge when applying to these programs or to associate-level openings.
Where can I find and apply to product marketing manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to product marketing manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across the state's major hiring metros and industries. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match.
