The Part-Time Admissions Recruiter plays a key role in the recruitment and enrollment efforts of Rowan University Graduate and Non-traditional Admissions. This position is responsible for attracting and engaging prospective graduate and non-traditional students, guiding them through the admissions process, and supporting their transition to enrolled students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively recruit prospective students through various channels, including phone calls, email/text campaigns, events, and other recruitment strategies.
- Provide personalized guidance to prospective students, answering questions about programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, and the application process.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about Rowan University’s programs, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with admissions team members to develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet enrollment goals.
- Assist with admissions events, both on-campus and virtual, to engage with prospective students and provide information about the department’s programs and offerings.
- Participate in on-campus recruitment activities, including tabling events, information sessions, and outreach initiatives, to promote the department’s programs and engage with prospective students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with prospective students in the admissions database.
Provide front-desk coverage by answering incoming phone calls, responding to general inquiries, greeting visitors, and assisting prospective students and other walk-in guests. - Assist walk-in students and visitors by providing information, directing them to appropriate resources or departments, and helping facilitate a welcoming and positive experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals and operations of the department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field such as education, counseling, or communications.
- Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of individuals.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of higher education admissions processes and best practices preferred.
Rate: $20 per hour
Hours:
- This temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week and is not to exceed 944 hours per fiscal year. Work is contracted annually to coincide with the fiscal year and is contingent upon budget appropriations.
