Regional Operations Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional operations manager in Texas?
Most regional operations manager roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, operations, supply chain, or a closely related field, though some employers accept equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. There is no state-issued license specific to this role in Texas. The typical path moves from team lead or operations supervisor into a single-site manager role before advancing to regional oversight, and earning a certification such as a Project Management Professional credential or a Lean Six Sigma certification strengthens most applications.
How much do regional operations managers make in Texas?
Regional operations managers in Texas earn a median of about $103,230 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $46,190 for the lowest 10% to over $264,620 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire regional operations managers in Texas?
Employers hiring regional operations managers in Texas right now include Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Garney Construction, and Loenbro, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's size and its concentration of distribution, energy, and retail headquarters means regional roles here often cover larger geographic footprints and more complex multi-site portfolios than equivalent positions in smaller states.
Which Texas cities have the most regional operations manager jobs?
Dallas, Austin, and Houston have the most regional operations manager openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth draws the largest volume thanks to its concentration of corporate headquarters, logistics hubs, and national retail and distribution operations, while Houston's energy, petrochemical, and port-driven supply chain activity sustains strong demand, and San Antonio's growing healthcare, military logistics, and consumer goods sectors round out the top markets.
Are there remote regional operations manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they're rare. Regional operations management is inherently a field-facing role that requires regular travel to multiple sites, so fully remote positions represent a small share of the market. About 19% of regional operations manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those that do offer flexibility tend to concentrate the remote component on reporting, planning, and vendor coordination tasks rather than on-site oversight.
How can I get hired as a regional operations manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is to secure an operations supervisor or assistant manager role at a multi-site Texas employer and build measurable results before pursuing regional promotion. Large Texas-based employers such as H-E-B, Sysco, and Amazon run structured leadership development and management trainee programs that place high-potential candidates on an accelerated track toward regional responsibility. Lateral moves from logistics coordinator, supply chain analyst, or retail district assistant roles are also common entry points, and completing a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification gives candidates a concrete differentiator when competing for first regional roles.
Where can I find and apply to regional operations manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to regional operations manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Find roles that fit your experience and target region, then apply directly to each listing without any additional steps required.
