Regional Operations Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional operations manager in New York?
Most regional operations managers in New York reach the role through progressive management experience rather than a state-issued license, since no specific New York credential is required. Employers typically expect a bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field, combined with experience managing teams across multiple sites. An MBA or a certification such as PMP or Six Sigma Black Belt strengthens candidacy considerably in New York's competitive market.
How much do regional operations managers make in New York?
Regional operations managers in New York earn a median of about $130,860 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $62,340 for the lowest 10% to over $336,070 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire regional operations managers in New York?
Employers hiring regional operations managers in New York right now include Caliber Collision, Finger Lakes Dental Care, and MB2 Dental, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's density of corporate headquarters, major logistics hubs, and large healthcare networks means demand comes from a wide range of industries rather than a single sector.
Which New York cities have the most regional operations manager jobs?
New York, Albany, and Finger Lakes have the most regional operations manager openings in New York. New York City dominates the count because it anchors the headquarters of major financial, healthcare, and retail organizations, while Buffalo and Albany generate consistent demand through regional distribution operations, state agency offices, and expanding healthcare systems serving upstate communities.
Are there remote regional operations manager jobs in New York?
Yes, but they're uncommon. The role is largely hands-on, requiring direct oversight of facilities, staff, and operations across multiple physical locations. About 20% of regional operations manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those tend to be positions where the coordination and reporting functions can be handled off-site while field managers handle day-to-day site activities.
How can I get hired as a regional operations manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into the role from an operations supervisor or team lead position within a large New York employer. Companies like Amazon at its New York fulfillment centers, Northwell Health, and major retail chains regularly promote from assistant manager and coordinator roles into regional responsibilities. Building experience in project coordination, budget tracking, and multi-team leadership, alongside a PMP credential or Six Sigma certification, positions candidates well for a first regional role.
Where can I find and apply to regional operations manager jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to regional operations manager jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and target location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
